Absolutely,,,,, Some have even taken the whole side panel and fender off and never put back on.....
without them on you won't have near the wind resistance.....

Can someone with an Alpha turbo let me know if your oil and air lines match the locations of mine or maybe post a few pictures on this thread. Thanks
-
@Cameron Roberts , @WingShot@Turbosling could one of you help @Bugeater ?
-
Oil looks good. Make sure you got that oil return line on well or it will leak!! Also your vacuum line on the cold side of your turbo should connect to your waste gate. Without seeing the other side of that line I couldn't tell you.

Let me know if you need a walk through or anything. I can also FaceTime with ya and show you exactly how mine is run.

Build looks fine up to now, I can't see any mistakes on the pics you have posted.

Do I need to remove the two bolts to install the intake air sensor or does it press in and hold in place with the rubber grommet?
I spoke to Alpha and the bracket needs to be removed before in stalling the sensor

I still have to re-connect the driver side piping along with change out the spark plugs and fuel injectors. There is an addendum to the instructions saying I need to take off the intake manifold and drill a little hole in it. I hope to try and tackle some of this tomorrow after work. Thanks for the assistance

Wait. You not talking about the black plastic intake manifold that the throttle body bolts to are you? I can't imagine having to take that off.

Slightly different than my kit. That air sensor will just press in if that's the one before the intake manifold.

My kit required no drilling. If you're drilling into the intake manifold that could cause problems. What exactly is the purpose of drilling a hole?

.
Alpha found a problem with some of the intake manifolds not having a passageway drilled completely through ... this is now part of the installation instructions ...

Wow look at that. Thank you!

Did you run you 6mm air tube out of the bov above or below the intake air tube? Does it really matter since this side is much cooler?
-
Good talking to you on the tele! Run the line below the elbow for a cleaner look.

Thank you to everyone for your assistance with my turbo install, especially Cam for offering to face time me unfortunately I've been installing the turbo between 10 PM and 1 AM Pacific time which was probably a little too late for him. Hopefully I will get the ECM back on Saturday and can find out how well I did.

The ECM was installed and the Slingshot fired up. I took a short ride without the exhaust tip, hood and side panels so I had a lot of fumes. I'm hoping that improves when I install those parts and it has a chance to burn off. Thanks again for the assistance.
