Anyone add the heat shield floorboard insulating kit from sling mods, did it help and was it worth the money?

....if your trying to deflect heat from the passenger compartment that will help but also think about helping the heat escape from under the hood with a hood scoop with holes to let the heat escape, to me that was a big help........and what year slingshot are you asking for......

If you are talking for a 2015-16, yes, it helps a lot. It includes pieces to go down the tunnel area too that really helps. If you're looking for a 2017-19, It has some dupicate pieces already added by the factory, but it's still worth it. I added it to both my 2016 and my 2019.

Why do you not just get some of that insulating bubbly wrap type insulation and cut it to size. and install under your carpet. --$$$$

Here is what I used....just watch Sam Owens video and he talks about the installation process.....worked great.

I'm sorry should have added more info, I have a 2021 S with after market exhaust that runs out the back.

I do not want to add anything into the cab area with the carpet, it will be under the floorboard, just curious if the SM stuff was worth the money.

I plan on using some of that as well, to fill any gaps and to either go on first or over the SM stuff.

.....I also have a aftermarket exhaust that runs out my rear and I decided to wrap the exhaust pipes running under the tunnel with exhaust heat wrap while I was installing em.....

...not sure if that's an option for you now since your exhaust is installed, unless you make it a winter project......good luck reducing the heat

I am hoping to be able to wrap mine as well, I need to get it up on stands first to get a good look at it.
