Seems a little suspicious that I got my RIDE COMMAND update notice yesterday and my back up camera quit working today. Will the update fix my camera? I just rolled over 4000 miles on my Slingshot and never had a problem with the camera before. Thanks Todd
Will the ride command update fix my back up camera?

I'm glad I have a antque Slingshot (2016) ... I hear more Ride Command problems than anything else with the newer Slingshot.

Hi Todd, I got a letter this past week regarding the Dec 2021 software update. Is this what you received? I haven’t had any issues with my backup camera but the maps rarely work.

What does your screen do when you go in reverse? Let's start there. I really doubt the ride command update disables the camera unless the current software was set to expire on a certain date. More than likely, you have issue with it not sensing reverse or if it's going blue screen then issue with camera connection itself.

I got the update letter also. Hate updates I am use to updates on my Humminbird fish finders and my Garmins. They normally screw up something that was working fine. I never use the maps on my Slingshot anyway they basically suck.

First it was just showing the radio when I went into reverse, The next couple times the screen just went to blue. It seems like it wasn't sensing reverse at first.

Since from your original post it sounds like you have not installed the update yet, so that cannot be the problem.
I have read some posts about this dating back to 2016 and someone suggests checking the actual camera in the back of the slingshot.

I went out today and started it, put it in reverse and the camera worked.... I'm still going to have the dealer check it. Thanks for the replies.

My guess is the plug at the back for the camera. If you do pull it apart a little dielectric grease does wonders to keep water out of those connections and if it does get in doesn't seem to mess up the connection (use on boat fuses + wan connectors on fish finders.
