hello everyone. I would like to take my big guy zeke with us on more longer day trips. I am looking at buying a pull behind Blackhawk motorcycle trailer and cutting an opening in the top so he can sit up and enjoy the breeze. He loves riding in the passenger seat but i doubt i could convince the wife to ride in the trailerso he will have to. He’s a Great Dane and would have enough room to lay down if he gets tired and i believe he would have enough airflow to keep him cool. Anybody have any experience with this? The picture is him sitting in my other trailer

You will do what you will, but we would never even consider putting our pup into a trailer going 70 MPH down the highway.
Just saying!

Several years ago I went to look at an old Station Wagon. (Like a 85 Merc) It was in great condition except for the fact that the old boy who owned it cut a hole in the back half of the roof so his Great Danes could go for a ride and have there face in the wind.

I wouldn't do that either, but am not saying you shouldn't. I just remember being behind another sling and having to drop back because of all the crap the back tire throws... may be something to think about.

billythekidd another good point. Thanks. I was thinking about adding a windshield to it but he’s tall so it wouldn’t be covering him completely plus that would defeat the purpose of getting him in the wind. Possibly goggles also if he’d wear them. He will wear some glasses lol

I have a rear fender on mine and do have a second Assault Fender that has been repaired for sale. Comes down far enough in front and back to keep most of the flying crap down.

It may not be much of a problem, but the first thing I thought of was the exhaust.
It smells bad enough in the driver and passenger seat when the majority is being forced down under the sling.
Wouldn't it just come out from under right in front of him?
He would be in the "Slip Stream" with some horrible smelling exhaust.
And I just do not trust this new generation to drive while actually looking up from their phones.
A rear end with him in a fiberglass trailer would be catastrophic

Truck mud flap on the rear.

The way I see it, if I wouldn't feel comfortable putting a child back there to ride, then I'm not going to put my dog back there
Yea, sure it would look way cool riding down the road with a big ol puppy wearing goggles holding his head up in the wind in a trailer behind the sling, but to me it just seems like there are way too many things that could go wrong, things not in your control, that could end up killing or seriously messing up that dog - - so the answer has to be NO
possible exception might be in a parade but that's it

EjFord send me some pics of it and how it mounts and price
Here are some pic
These are original pictures when brand
new, We have reworked the mounting so that itis much stronger.
The one I have for sale is red and needs

EjFord i don’t think a rear fender would work for me because i have a trailer hitch. Looks good though
Which hitch?

Gerald is more talented than I am.
Ya that, and he owns 10 or 12 Slingshots!!
(Heard he has them, cuz he burns the tires so often it's quicker to grab another)
