I had the TD roof bar kit installed at a rally and also installed the velcro the canvas had to be shipped. The canvas came in but the velcro is out of place a lot. They shipped more velcro but are now saying they do not advice removing the velcro because it may damage the powder coating. Has anyone removed any or have advice in doing so?
Velcro removal from TD roof bars

I would suggest soaking the installed velcro with WD-40, keep saturated and wait 24 hours or so and it should come right off.

Here you go...

.
If it is industrial strength Velcro and was installed using a primer (should be both if done correctly) I would suggest:

Soak it, pull off the Velcro, and some more on a rag will remove the rest of the adhesive with little effort.
But be aware the primer may leave the powder coat looking dull in the areas it was applied.

WD40 and some light heat is another trick

For heat I use a hair dryer instead of a 'heat gun' not as hot and not as apt to burn what we don't want to burn, but will warm things to do the job.

I have the Bulletspeed roof (very similar). I had an issue with the canvas not being tight. This would cause a lot of "flopping" as speed . I remedied this by adding industrial velcro above the existing velcro. This allowed me to pull it tighter. The canvas covers the original strips
