Display More@Bubblehead so this isn't a "cheap" amp but it's the same type of amp that I have and I haven't had any issues with it. In fact, I'm very happy with it. Actually... here is a list of what I believe you need:
1 of these Amazon.com: Rockford Fosgate M400-4D Marine Amplifier: Car Electronics
1 of these Amazon.com: Scosche SLC4 Speaker Level Converter With 80 Watt Max: Car Electronics
2 of these Amazon.com: Rockford Fosgate RFI-10 Twisted Pair Signal Cable -10 feet: Cell Phones & Accessories
.... I think thats it....
@TheRock Hey buddy, got everything you suggested ordered and will have in Clarksville... any help anyone can offer on installation would be greatly appreciated. I know squat about radio systems and physically can not get up and down anymore to do most of the install but will help as much and best I can. I'll bring beer, just let me know what y'all drink.

I'm gonna catch heat for this, I'm sure... I'm a bud light guy..

Bud light platinum is actually decent. Yeungling is excellent reasonably priced beer.

What speakers are you going with for the headrest cubbies? Also I was thinking of some of the odds and ends type stuff... zip ties, electrical tape, and wire looming. The wire looming isn't absolutely necessary, but makes for clean install.
Also, @MACAWS do you have a soldering iron and solder?
If you guys need gimping tool, wire stripper, parallel cutter, Fluke multi meter,Weller WESD51 Digital Soldering Station, griming connectors, or other electrical tools for wiring let me know.
I have most of that stuff, but will be driving down in the Sling, so real estate is limited...
Well I'll bring what I can, you can never have to may tools

Are you trailering or pulling your small trailer with the sling?
No I gonna have my wicked hitch installed and something likes this mounted to it.
I too can bring a Weller WESD51 with a variety of tips, a hot wire (way cool way to strip wire) wire stripper, a pro grade crimping tool, crimp fittings, flux, desoldering braid, a dike, and a bucket of advice as to what does not work. Probably have some other stuff not at the tip of my tongue.
Have good experience on how not to die working on vacuum tube equipment. 500 volts will toss you across the room, mess with your digestive system, heart, & brain, and soil your underwear. 12 volts, you probably won't benefit from that experience.
If not unnecessarily intoxicated, I can be of some help.

In my experience 250 volts DC just burns you. I have been on DC voltage more than AC and that is good.
Yes, it is my understanding that DC is less of a fuss than AC. But, the trick is to never know for sure. Need to go back to my high voltage safety books. But, I do remember clearly, and always follow, one hand in your pocket, and wear rubber soled shoes.
I also have a half dozen flukes.
Think, think, think. I used to be big into electronics, but that was a while ago. Think, think, think.

Got you covered!
Hey, anybody looking at doing "Slingshots in the Adirondacks" this Sept, @FunCycle and myself are kicking around the idea of going and was wondering if any of the Wrecking Crew would care to join us.
We are planning on having the second annual Booze and Blues weekend of September 30th
Not sure when the Adirondacks is scheduled.
