Remove the battery cover and install in the hole at that location. Used to support the rear just before it bend and rises up to the Y section.
Youtube Jeff’s install video for a complete walkthrough.

@Jeff Welter? Can you help a brother out here?
Thanks Joey! Looks like you answered as I was typing.

clearance between SS and Y pipe should be between 3/8” and 3/4”. I prefer it as close as possible to avoid rubbing the rear tire.

I have done all that. but I think there are some different things on the 17 model, or not added. there is a big hole so i assumed the bolt would go there but can not get the bolt to start.

@Jeff Welter mentioned the 2017 install was a tad different. He will

Thanks @2W2X1 and @dangerdarrell for chiming in. I just have to get this hanger bolt figured out and then tighten all my clamps up. I am ready to hear it and take it for a ride. I am going to pm @Jeff Welter again thank y'all

I'd suggest calling Jeff and or PMing him on BookFace. I get faster response that way.

Contacted @Jeff Welter again outstanding customer service. Installed my hanger can anybody tell me if its correct or any input from you guys and gals.

Okay back to the drawing board as they say, I screwed up some where. the Y pipe is to close to the plastic. took it out a little bit ago for a test ride and melted the plastic. can anybody tell what i need to do. I may go back out to the shop later and see what i can do. I know i need to move the Y pipe away some how.

on my 17 the rear hanger goes up and down not sideways. Put in the bolt the goes inside the frame hole and let it drop down straight then attach it to the pipe. Mine is 2 inch but I think it is the same.

Thanks. I have a 17 also. I would assume the clamp bolt that goes around the pipe is down also.
-
I have one already, so I will be prepping for paint and installing it also. I am glad I purchased it awhile back.
-
No the bolt on the clamp should be at the top, the weight hangs on the strap.

It appears you need to twist the third pipe wow somebody holds the two silencers without clamps on them with their hands as you twist the third pipe The Y section will move closer and further from the plastic
