So I'm starting to do some research on adding some sounds to my base module. I have used JL products and have always have had good results so I think I'm going to go that route. If I were to use the the 10w3 stealth box and the stealth box front pods, what would be the best amp set up? They offer 5 different marine amps. Is it better to do 2 amps or 1 larger 4 channel amp?

All of this is dependent on the exact system you are looking to install, or have installed. If you are looking to add a subwoofer to your system, i would say install an amp just for the sub, and install a multi-channel amp for the other additional speakers you intend to install. Isolation of your "boost" source has always worked for me. I have the Clarion system with the Rockford Fosgate Speakers and a Sub. The sub has it's on amp. I just received the Clarion 4-Channel Amp today...as I will be working on getting the Headrest Pods and Speakers soon. By the way, Amazon had the 2410 Amp for $40 cheaper than anybody. The Clarion Store had a great sale, and I took advantage of it. Sorry SlingMods. I'll make it up to you!!!!!!

I was looking at the marine JL head unit they offer (slingmods) to keep everything the same. As far as power wise what is the best way to go. If the sub is 500 watts do you go with a 500watt amp? The speakers are 275 watts I think, what size is best for them?

500 is good for the Sub. How many 6.5" Speakers are you installing? I think they are 200-250 watts (60-65 RMS). Either the 500 watt/4-channel, or the 600watt/3-channel would do you well. All of this is dependent on how many Speakers you are connecting to the system.

@WrongWheelDrive, couldn't agree with you more on your JL choice. I have an all JL system on my sling:
JL MediaMaster Head unit-well worth the extra $. Sound clarity is awesome.
2 JL Powersport Amps MX240/4 & MX300/1-They will fit behind the head unit in the dash.
1 C5-653 Component set
1 10" JL Sub- Can't remember which model. The enclosures for the component set and sub was fabbed up by the audio store that installed everything.
I couldn't be happier with this setup.

@bjk81? You know about sound right? And JL?
Yes I do! I personally like using a different amp for subs and then one for components. I had a pair of stealth boxes that I unfortunately had to sell this winter. JL Audio has been very good to me over the years. To be honest I never was a huge fans of their amps for years. They didn’t work well for DB drag competitions. The stuff works well in the sling though. Hopefully I will get around to work on my own sling soon just been really busy. My goal on the audio system is to have it finished before the end of the summer.

I went JL Audio all around with the front Pods 7.7 marine, rear speaker pods 6.5 marine & under dash (2) woofers 6.5 6W3v3 along with my pioneer Avic 8200 & only one Amp JL Audio MHX300/1 for my woofers , oh and a set of JL Audio tweeters C1-100ct....the reason I didn't go with a amp for my other speakers is because my Pioneer head unit sounds great with out it and with the extra bass I DONT NEED IT lol..........My music is for me not everyone outside of B.B.( My slingshot)........F.Y.I.......the underdash Subwoofer enclosure from U.A. DOES NOT fit with the JL Audio 7.7 enclosures , so you see from my pics what I had to do to get them to fit & it was well worth it........!
