It seems that I cannot find anyone at the Mall of Georgia Indian to take my money so they will order my parts today.

Yes!

@FunCycle does that mean you might make it to eureka Springs! Maybe. Hope you can make it
No, I can not leave Brenda for that long, I would have to find someone to stay with her.

I got an answer back from the dealership just a few minutes ago saying there were no codes showing and that the steering is operating normally at this time with the exception of the ty rod end being pulled thru. That is what the E-Mail said. So I reckon I was blind and did not see the curve or @Ruptured Duck in front of me either. NUFF SAID just fix my Slingshot now where I can ride.

Maybe it takes 2 weeks for the code to come in?
Just sayin -

Interesting....A direct Quote from Kevin Baxter at Mall of Georgia Indian --- Feel it necessary to say that the steering - minus the broken tie of course - appears to be operating normally at this time @Ruptured Duck could you possible stop in and have a conversation with this gentleman. I am going back and fourth with him using E-Mail trying to make sure that everything on the steering is checked out. Sounds like he is on a different page. If you know what I mean.

Mount a receiver hitch flush to the floor attached to the frame facing up. So the hitch opening is flush with the floor.
Mount the winch on the top of a square box section the same size of the receiver opening.
Drop it in the hole. Winch it up. Pull it out.Ok brother just cuz we think alike I thought I would share something, that sounds like you have already done.
Had an old winch plate from a UTV
Had to modify it a bit and bought a 2500 lb ATV winch at Harbor Freight for $47
Man I need to get back to welding - I suck!I just need to cut and weld up the receiver - later in the week I crazy busy this week

@MACAWS, That looks great, I like the plate with the hand holds.
The simplest design always works the best. You are an inspiration!
Look forward to riding with you again soon.
Be safe -

I have been on the road since I posted the last set of pictures - finally got to make the receiver for the trailer
Man my welding is horrible. Going to have to take on a project that will give more practice time
Need to get some hardware tomorrow and mount it up.I think I will make a DIY thread if any one can use it.

Here is another update. Myself or the dealer doing the repairs have not heard a word from Polaris on what they may want to check or do to check to see if the steering rack or controls had anything to do with my accident. I just sent another E-Mail to Polaris and will call them if I do not hear anything from them tomorrow. For those that maybe catching up there was a warning light about three mile before this happened but it did not stay on. Top right in the 1 or 2 o'clock position, I do not know which one it was, it just flashed on and off. The repairing dealer said there were no codes showing.

Checked on trading the SS this morning. No trade until the repairs are complete and even then only about $10,000 on trade because of the mileage (51,000) and the wreck. So I am forced to wait.
