How do you remove the cluster?

    I have some ideas on modifying my cluster, but am curious as to how it’s removed.


    I’m not near my sling right now but I’m hoping to have a game plan on popping it out when I get off work.


    I am looking to modify the backlighting. I’m sure it’s LED chips on the board, I’m very familiar with customizing them in other clusters, even going with RGB lighting.


    Just stumped on how to actually get the cluster out lol

    You'll need to remove the plastic covering the steering column. There is two T40 torx bolts holding them together. There are two more T40 torx holding the upper piece to the cluster itself. Once you remove those you can reach back there and unplug the cluster. There is a plug connected to the speedo and another to the tach. Both are labeled so you do not get them confused when reinstalling.
