Just an update
We will be at Slingshot in the Smokeys
Both building are a total loss along with 85 motorcycle and 1 Jetboat .
Total loss will be over $3 million
Fire look to be caused by a cordless drill battery charge.
Please read the owners manual
First thing is to ever leave the battery while charging unattended .(We all do this)
Second it should always be stored in the plastic holding case it came with
Please be safe.
After looking into it . A lot of house fires have been caused by this.
Thank all you who have called or come out to make sure we are ok

Thanks! Nothing about his makes me happy, but I'm glad that you guys are still moving forward. Onward and Upward!!

I agree, I have felt the bottom of my Dewalt charger before and thought to myself that it was too hot for comfort.. I guess it could be caused by a bad cell in a battery causing the charger to overwork. I have 2 or 3 charging now. You have me wanting to go unplug them now....

How long before you will be back like it was before the fire?
What about the battery tenders we all use?
-
WS, wouldn't worry too much about the tender, I think this is a Lithium thing.
-
just unplugged mine... scary stuff. Glad you'll be able to rebuild.

Your store and staff are amazing. They are all still moving forward and making sure your customers are taken care of. Great staff great store. Glad you are still able to stay open through it all.
