Lug nut torque specs

I honestly don't think you are going to hurt even if you take it up to say 100 lbs. I haven't done the math, but is there that big of a difference in the 1/3 increase in torque on the stress put on the wheel?
Also, I've always been told that you should get your torque wrench checked for accuracy every few years, depending on how often you use it and how much it has to travel (get banged around).
Mine is 25 years old, never had it checked, so I use it as a starting point and always give it a bit of extra force when doing the final tightening.
Also, I'm sure most of you know this, but in case we have a young'un around, you do torque in a cross pattern, never going in a circle on the lug nuts? Documented here in case you need the info : https://tireguides.com/TireTips/TireDocument/2

Same torque for stock nuts or aftermarket ones
