I have to wait and put that money towards the model A. Oh well there's always next year.

So updates. I'm am chugging along. Ground down entire body. Found all the bad spots. Ordered some random parts. Started getting random body work tools from eastwood. They have a store about an hour away from me.
Just for the record. I don't have a clue how to do body work. And I've welded maybe 10 times. And that was under close supervision by a trained certified welder. So I decided to cut out the lower passenger side bad spot.
I bought a set of patch panels from a company called MACS. They will be getting alot of my money over the next few years.
So I got these panel clips from eastwood them help fit the new with the existing panel to help hold them together to make tacking easier.
I used my new body hammers to shape the metal and work it into position. I guess I'm doing it right. Tomorrow I may try tacking a couple of spots with the new welder I got. I will Probley have my buddy come over. He is a 20 year pipefitter at BP and he said he'd weld for me.
The last pic is the piece of trim that will cover the over lap of the panel. It's actually a trim piece that goes from one side up over the hood to the otherside. The trim piece was trashed and bent up so I took it off and will get a new one eventually. I also this week got all the bits and pieces to rebuild the horn and light switch. They are both integrated into the steering wheel. I found a guy close to me that will rebuild my engine.
I will take more pics tomorrow. Nothing really has changed. I little by little keep taking bits and pieces of the car apart. Oh yea I'm officially a member of MARC. Model A Restores Club. Sent in my yearly membership dues and am in. It will open up a whole network of people and resources to help me along my journey. My first model A club meeting is next month.
I also took the passenger side door off. For 1 to get the new panel cut in and 2 that door is beat up pretty bad. I'm going to try to beat it out tomorrow. I feel like I'm taking a puzzle apart and then going to have to put it back together in the dark. But regardless I'm having a freaking blast.
Sorry about the multiple pics that are the same and the rambling. It's was a long hot week at work. I came home unwound with the car I just came in and am tired.
it's all good sir - love seeing and hearing about the work you're doing - keep going
Damn good job sir!

Macs is a great store. There online ordering and customer service have been top notch. The parts for this thing haven't been bad so far. But the problem I foresee is that the parts I'm ordering have been like 5 bucks here and 2 dollars there. The most ive spent for a part so far is the 2 patch panels they were 35 bucks for the pair. This thing will nickel and dime me to death. My wife's been great and giving me a limit each month I can hit. I already got my shopping cart full already for next month.
So today's work. Patched the passenger side lower side. I'm happy with it. I learned alot and will do somethings different on the driver's side.
My welds were god awful. Took some time to get the welder dialed in but after a little grinding and respot welding a couple spots it should be good with a little body filler and some sanding.
What it looked like this morning. So yea it's a solid improvement.
