Just got back from Myrtle Beach just ahead of the rain storm, it should be clear for the rest of the day. There are not many bikes or venders, maybe Fri. and Sat. will have more bikes and people. I did the Harley shop and Murrell's Inlet venders. Bought some LE Matter patches and a flag for the SlingShot and then a Trump hat and some Trump pins.

Be safe out there.... rain surfing is scary !
I was close to the house (3 miles) before I hit the rain, just the outside edge of it. Looked like a flood had hit at the house when I got there.
-
Hope all is well at the house.....I tell you my trip back from VA last weeknd at moments was really scary.
-
Already cleaned up and waxed, ready for the rain tomorrow.
-
A good many bikes and people in Murrell's Inlet when I got there at 4:30 this afternoon. I left at 7:30 and it was getting a little crowded. Still not much in the way of vendors though.
-
I have two of my motorcycle riding friends that are there. It must have rained there. I got some text from them and there was a rainbow in one of them.
-
It rained yesterday afternoon for a little while and then cleared up and a hard rain around 11 am. I have seen 4 different Slings in the past 2 days. Seen an orange one from Penn. in Georgetown this afternoon, tried to find the riders but no luck. I do not think it has rained today in Murrell's Inlet.
-
It has been crowded all day today. The weather has been nice. I saw 3 more SlingShots today and talked to 2 of them and gave them a Slingshotinfo card. I also talked to couple from Maryland they are going to test drive after bike week is over, it will be the wife's when they buy it. He told me they can now register the SS in Maryland. He will keep his bike and she gets the SS.

Thank you Bill ..those things are scary!

Yes - I lived thru 2 and I wouldn't wish the aftermath on my worst enemy!! If it looks like you may be in its path take my word for it and GET THE HELL OUT! Have a plan ready to go and if ya gotta go I'll put you up at my place until you can go home!!
-
I stayed right here during Hugo, the same place that is in my build SS build pictures. I lost about 6 sq. feet of shingles and had one live oak blow over in the front yard but had to cut the trees out of the roads to get to town.
-
I rode out Rita and got the hell out for Ike. Even if you make it through relatively damage free took couple weeks to get power back - miserable hot - overrun with cottonmouths - helping neighbors that their houses were blown away - it just SUCKS. Guess I'm to old now - I will never ride another one out Cat 3 or above!
-
So true been thru many of them ...do not like them at all.........on a second thought it'll be a great opportunity to teach my kids what drinking a coke without ice tastes like or not opening the fridge unless its necessary or using the BBQ to cook amist many other things.
Honestly the aftermath is terrifying.
