  • My daughter works at University Hospital. The SWAT Team set up headquarters in the ER. She's working a 14 today, and I'm scared!! Told her to get escorted to her car. We spent time in this beautiful area in downtown Charlotte near the NASCAR Hall of Fame, over Labor Day weekend. They took a hard hit there. I wish the media would back off some. I believe things might settle down quicker, if they'd stop showing these assholes on the news!!

    Never trust a ConnMan!!

  • People are running a little thin on patience at this point.

    Social media is not helping. People propagating rumors about protestors heading out to certain neighborhoods.

    They might not be received with open arms.

    This happened last night;

    Companies still telling employees not to head downtown tomorrow.

  • This is a true problem. There are those that seek to undermine the true efforts of the BLM Activists, who seek to close the gap in starting a true dialogue. There are THUGS out there, who use this opportunity to create mayhem for self-gratification. This is just the case. It's hard to be taken seriously when the actions of the few get more airtime than the actions of the truly dedicated. I pray for peace in Charlotte, as well as throughout OUR nation. For those that are truly concerned, I pray you see through THIS particular event and see it for what it really is..."Thugs being Thugs". Yes, I said Thugs! These people do not represent the majority of US. For that matter, those individuals are disliked by many of us as well. Once calm prevails, you will be able to see those that disrupt, are a very small minority. It is just unfortunate that some of US are judged by the actions of the lone minority. Pray for Peace. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by these misfortunes.

    If the same courtesy was extended to police officers (both during and after incidents) we would not have this situation .... to be given respect you must first act with respect ....

  • ^^^^ I agree with you 100%. Some people have no people skills at all. THOSE are the ones I consider Thugs!!! I was brought up to respect those in uniform. Until I am proved otherwise, I view Law Enforcement as a HELP", not a "hindrance".
