these days the emmerson wave has been licensed by some other companies including Spyderco as you can see in this snap of my Matriarch - funny thing when it was originally designed it was intended as a thing that would catch the blade of the enemy in a knife fight, only after the fact did they discover that when it caught on the pocket it would open the knife

Do you have in the bathroom?
if I'm up and dressed I most likley have a knife on me - so yes, it does go in the bathroom with me

I have been wanting a Benchmade knife, I’ve heard great things about the brand, but I,m not a huge fan of thumb studs for flipping a knife open, I much prefer the spidie hole of spyderco fame, well recently I stumbled across the benchmade griptilian with the sheep’s foot blade. A benchmade knife with the spidie hole. Ordered it yesterday and can’t wait to see if benchmade is all it’s cracked up to be 😁

here it is, my first Benchmade - - - - I Like it!!!

I don't know why I keep coming to this thread since I'm not into knives.

USA Made Kershaw Link with CPM 20CV steel blade

My Spyderco Police has served me well for 20+ years. The thumb opening is one of the best out there

Yes, I like the Spyderco Police, actually been looking at the one they are offering with the K390 blade (I seem to be a bit addicted to collecting knives that have the newer super steel) only thing holding me back on this knife is the size, I think its a bit large for EDC with an over 4 inch blade - its a big knife

Yes - it is a big knife but I found a leather maker that built me a custom belt case for it. It goes on my belt out of the way but very handy due to its size.

yep, I dont use a sheath on a folding knife - - seems to defeat the purpose of the folding part, I prefer deep pocket carry where its less obvious that I have it. if I were going to use a sheath I think I would rather go crocodile Dundee with a fixed blade

Some Kershaw Made in the USA goodness, Top Kershaw Link with a CPM 20cv steel blade - pretty much a Zero Tolerance 0357 at a much better price, and on the bottom the new Kershaw Bel Air, with a CPM Magnacut steel blade and a KVT bearing pivot and aluminum scales - pretty much a Benchmade Bugout on steroids.
