Easy or hard? Drivers side, how did you do it.
Seat removal

Drivers side - VERY Easy. 15mm Socket. Use a long extension for the rear bolts to make it really easy.
Passenger side - 3 of 4 are very easy - same 15mm socket. The 4th one (rear outside bolt) is a MF'r. 16mm turned horizontal. Countersunk into the floor. I ended up using a ratcheting wrench with another wrench as prying leverage. Some people have used a 1/4" drive ratchet into a 3/8" socket (with adapter) to get in there, but I never could. The engineer who designed this needs to be shot.
Not my pic, but gives you the idea:

While you are at it, make you some extension plates to move the passenger seat forward a couple of inches. This will let your passenger seat recline for more comfortable seating. Cut you some 3/16-1/4 inch thick alum. or steel plate, 1 1/2 inch by 3 inch and drill two holes 2 inch on center to remount the seat. It will be easier to use a piece of alum. for the rear outside because it will have a little offset in it. It will make a big difference in seating comfort. Red may even sell you some.

Thanks everyone... Getting ready to install amp.

If the plastic on the 16mm horizontal bolt is in the way, a little boiling water will soften it up so you can push a socket on it. A 1/4 drive 5/8ths socket with a 3/8ths adapter and ratchet works good.

My driver seat must be different because all it had was 4 bolts one on each corner. Just needed a 16mil socket. All came out easily except needed a breaker bar for one of them. I had comfort seats installed by dealer in 2016. Maybe they changed the setup.

i agree. 4 bolts. easy to remove but did require a breaker bar. There is plenty of room under driver seat for amps. I have two JL Audio amps on a piece of plexi mounted.

Why plexi? I have fire proof gasket material I use on my pellet stove. I was just going to put that underneath the amp. Also should the anchor points use rubber washers fir vibration?

Driver's seat should be four 15mm, easy to take out. The passenger side is the pain in the a$$ with the oddball 16mm.

Its actually not real Plexi. But just use what you got. I had a chunk of left over like-plexi that is semi soft. You can screw right into it. This way you keep the amps off the floor just in case water or you spill a soda, etc. Battery right behind the driver seat makes it slick. Good luck

You need that air space under the amp to help cool the amp. Plastic is not a good heat conductor to transfer heat away from the bottom of the amp. Most electronics tell you that there is a required air space around them.

Yes going to put in rubber grommets for spacing and place fabric heat shield on plastic floor.

I have a piece of the thin stuff that I bought for the footwell firewall and never used. Where would you be located at?

I have pellet stove material that I make gaskets out of. Thanks for the offer.
