Yes ..... get a flashlight and look under your Sling (or reach under and push out a cup holder from underneath) to see if your U-Joint has a Zerk fitting in the center yoke before doing anything ....there is no definitive or rational way of knowing when the change was made since it seemed to be a random fazing in of new parts so you have to look .....

You're just going to need to look. The early models all had grease zircs on the driveshaft yoke. There was a transition period where they seemed to provide both types. Now, I believe (could be wrong), they're all sealed units. If it has a zirc - lube it! Best thing to use is a needle adapter (a Lincoln G901 4" needle adapter works well - available LOTS of places).

What type of grease gun would that needle fit. I have the needle in my amazon cart now but too many options on guns.

Any standard grease gun will work. Recommend a flexible hose. Here's a good one on Amazon for the price:

And is this a decent grease to use? In 15000 miles I hope somewhere during a service the dealer took care of lubing cuz if not I never have!
