Dave@DDMWorks what exhaust is on this one?

We installed the shorty exhaust that we ship with the Stage 1 kits. It is a 2.5" stainless steel exhaust that exits in the stock location we fabricate in house and uses a Magnaflow muffler. Everyone that drives it is always surprised by the sound, they think it is going to be really loud, but the turbo kinda acts like a muffler, so it just has a nice deep tone to it.

We have been super busy here with all the orders (Thank you so much!), but still doing installs also. This week we had a nice man from Ohio come down for an install, we put on one of our Stage 1 turbos, hood vents, coolant tank and re-route, Short shifter, Hawk Brake pads, front splitter, EVAP delete kit and powdercoated valve cover. Really nice transformation from stock, the test drive was a lot of fun and he left here and went right to Deal's gap to go have fun with it, our kinda customer :)

    Dave@DDMWorks My buddy!

Any recommended engine lift points, from the PRO?
    :)

If not using the lift brackets we have, we lift by the 2 - M8 bolt holes on the exhaust side of the engine above cylinder #1 and #4 exhaust ports on that side of the engine. Then use one of the M8 bolts on the front of the engine towards the driver side just above the alternator, lastly the M8 bolt on the back of the cylinder head where the EVAP purge solenoid is mounted.

    My buddies,

Anyone know if I can loosen this clamp to rotate the orientation of the intake to exhaust position?

The reason I ask is because the Intake to Aftercooler silicone coupler is about 1/8" from my Headers.

Very easy to do on the Borg Warner EFR turbos, just loosen that V band clamp on the compressor housing that you have the arrow pointing at, then you can rotate the compressor housing, just tighten the V band clamp when your done.

I fly into Houston on Wednesday around 10AM and I fly home Monday at 8AM, I am staying at the host hotel.

DDMWorks is bringing my Slingshot to me in their trailer. I believe Dave said he would be there Thursday afternoon. SO I will most likely be somewhere at the hotel that has drinks and food till my Sling arrives.

It will be pretty late Thursday night that we get there, about 14 hours from DDMWorks to Houston with the trailer, so should be getting in around 10pm or so.

    Dave,

That being said-do you have a link for a turbo blanket for the stage 1 turbo?

    Fred

I know I answered this on the phone for you earlier, but for others looking, you would want a blanket for a T25 flange GT2871 turbo to fit our Stage 1 turbo.

    Dave

While we are on turbo blankets, anyone know if there is a turbo blanket for the old Alpha turbos that used the Precision Billet 55/58 CEA turbos?

If I remember, the old Alpha kits use a T3 exhaust housing, so any of the generic T3 blankets should do the trick. I did a quick search for anything specific on Google, but didn't find anything right off. You might give PTP a call, where Airborne is getting his, they might have something specific, might be worth a phone call/email.

Another new product this week, the new single piece billet oil cap for the Ecotec powered Polaris Slingshot. The cap is machined from a solid piece of billet aluminum and replaced the entire stock plastic cap. It does not give you anymore power, but really shines in the engine bay. It is available in all the popular Polaris colors that we powdercoat in house or you can get it in the raw machined look with just a clear anodize finish. This piece shares the same design as our Gas cap and other caps we have coming soon.

Price is $59 in any finish you choose.

Forgot, there is another track that we have been to a lot, Atlanta Motorsports Park, north side of Atlanta, lots of elevation changes and is a lot of fun in highpower and low power cars, if I remember correctly their pricing is a little higher than the other, but not Barber level of pricing, super nice facility - https://atlantamotorsportspark.com/

Barber is one of the nicest tracks in the southeast for a reason, they command a premium and it shows when you go to that track. Like MACAWS said, Barber would take a large commitment to make happen, but if we can pull it off, that would be an amazing experience I think for a lot of people.

Just before everything started to get shut down because of the Covid virus, there were some of us talking about setting up a date at Firm (https://gorally.com/), but we could also take a look at doing Carolina Motorsports Park (https://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com/). Another track is Little talladega (https://talladegagp.com/), that was were I did my first track day back in 1999, and of course we can go back to Roebling again also. I have a feeling I will be seeing MACAWS very soon and we can put together some options, would love to get out on the track again!

The 2.4L Ecotec was found in quite a few vehicles, and you can look at getting a LE5 engine or a LE9 engine. The only real difference is going to be the LE9 is setup to run E85 from GM.

    LE9 was found in -

    Hope that helps,
