Rack and pinion

    I have a 2015 LE dealer told me the passenger side on the rack is 1/8” play end ball joint off the rack side i took a calibrated dial indicator put dial base on Rack and needle on out put shaft i did what they said move the rod up and down found 0.09” move movement. The ball on the end of the rack is 0.001” play that is nothing the movement i found was the bushing at the end of the rack that holds the rod in the center to me it’s not a big deal but they wont pass it.     Howdy. The first thing I would check is see if the recall was ever done. Polaris recalled most of the 2015's to replace a defective rack. if yours wasn't done, you can go to this site and enter your vin# to see. It's worth a try. Plus you'd also see ANY recalls that apply to your Slingshot that still needs to be done (at no cost to you) Hope it helps
