And now back to the original question:
Did you hear a "click" when you pushed the starter button?:
- If Yes, try moving the SS just a couple inches in gear to re-align the starter teeth. I had this happen a couple times on my 2016.5. I just pushed the clutch in with my right foot, pushed the SS with the left foot a couple inches, released the clutch while still moving, then tried the starter again and it started every single time.
- If No, then you may have a battery connection issue somewhere. Start with the simplest - at the battery - and work forward. Make sure to check the ground too.
