While detailing my 2015 slingshot Sl, I noticed it looks like there’s a clearcoat coming off The tail lights? I used some marine clear plastic polish which made her look perfect again. But I was wondering if anybody else has come across this issue? And what their fix was?
Anybody having trouble with their tail lights peeling?

not yet.
But does your SS sit outside? Covered or uncovered?
Are you in an acid rain area?

Thanks for the response big dog, my main question is, is there a clearcoat on the tail lights? I bought it in October not sure about before then, it is backed into my carport and not in the Direct sunlight while inside, it’s a daily driver so it’s in the sun here in Florida most of the time while out, and it is in the sun maybe four hours a day while I’m at work then in the shade till sunset, never had it in the rain. This is something that has popped up within a week, it wasn’t there when I detailed it last week.

I had something similar with my tail lights but like you I got rid of it with some polishing and cleaning - never really sure what it was, but it hasn't come back

Possibility...
Cling wrap gum base used to protect parts for assembly and shipping.

when I encountered it this is what I was thinking some kind of temporary protective coating that was left on after manufacturing

My 16 is just starting to do it -- garaged when not in use --
