Epic Road - must ride for all in this neck of the woods!

  • The wife and I took a 640 mile weekend trip from Corona to Ponderosa in the Sequoia National Forest this past weekend. 15 to the 395 to Mountain highway 99. Started at 6 AM on Saturday and got home at 5 PM on Sunday. We went form gloves and jackets to at times dousing ourselves with water as we went south on the west side of Death Valley at 116 degrees. Crazy extremes back and forth.

ANYONE who finds themselves in this area NEEDS to do a run on the 155 out of Glennville at least!
The entire road from Ponderosa was worthy for sure but the 155 was truly EPIC! Smooth great road,
twists and turns like you have NEVER done ( or at least I haven’t and I have been riding 40+ years).
The scenery went from rolling hills to pastures to forrest and a run into Lake Isabella down the hill for
    amazing views.

Oh ya… and when the signs say “COWS” make sure you pay attention.

The below is the 155 .... Imagine endless sharp, twisted, uphill, down hill, tight then flowing constant turn after turn - almost NO straight-a-ways. A ride to remember to say the least!

We’ll get there when we get there and not a minute before. 😎
