Was it better than Saving Private Ryan. I loved that movie and the realism. How did Dunkirk compare. I'm going to go see it regardless.

I thought it was better. It is light on dialogue but visually outstanding.
The time line direction is interesting.
It's not as graphic as you might expect. Kind of a nice break from resent war related movies. Don't want to say more. -
It portrays a realistic vision of what happened at Dunkirk. Not a Hollywood spin.
One of the best in my opinion.
