I am still waiting on conformation on my schedules.
I received an email from the organizer
will should all be getting an email with an overview for the day.
There will be a drivers / Safety meeting in the morning. I explained that we want this to be a successful event so that we can prove who we are and what we can do.
Looks like the other group for the day are mostly BMW's a Porsche and I think 1 Corvette
I am betting we can turn some of the best times because of our advantage in cornering and lighter weight.
Looking forward to this - Big Time
Here is the proposed schedule
There will be a course overview from 8:00-9:00 with Donnie Isley and Laura Hayes followed by open course starting at 9:00.
Slingshot must pass Tech inspection
Example:
9:00 to 9:30: Cars
9:30 to 9:50: Slingshots
9:50 to 10:00: Formula Cars
I am thinking that after 20 minutes at this track in a Slingshot you are probably ready for a break. Obviously, safety is always at the TOP of our list! We all make most of our mistakes when we are fatigued. My goal is for everyone to have all the track time they want and to leave in the afternoon with no damage to ourselves or to our equipment.
This is a great opportunity for us to gain some recognition that will help us secure more track days at this and other tracks. All I ask is that we all drive within the limits of our machines and driving ability. This will be the first of many track days and with each run you will gain more experience. Have Fun - Be safe
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments
Mitch
What are the guidelines for the tech inspection? Do they have any for the SS?
@MACAWS.... @gpcustoms
Since many of the cars are street cars I would imagine it is the same as other tracks we have visited - Like FIRM
Brakes / Tires / Belts - no leaking fluids and so on
Really trying to find a trailer I can use for the weekend. Because of recent events my trailer purchasing funds were depleted. I'm now trying to find something rentable but no success just yet.
Im good! Have secured a trailer for the event. Less stressed now.

back to not having one unless @Fast Orange was honestly willing to let me snag one of his.
Mine is just too wide with the wider front tires. It's a 78" wide aluminum trailer with rails. The rails screwed me...

If you can locate an enclosed trailer you have 83" width or you can back it in.
How far are you from the track?

83" would work. I'm at about 80" and need the extra to not damage the aftermarket letters.
I am going to 18" base all the way around - from what others who have done this have told me is it is tight but it fits
I will be buttering them up and trying to slide it in my trailer next week when it comes back Dr. Dave
Patrick remove them, slap on the base get it in the trailer and ill help you put them back on..........but in my SS........!

i did take it all off.... No go.
Patrick, my trailer is a featherlite and I always pull in with no problem. I will measure it but think it’s 83” between fenders

if you make it down you could have seat time in mine if it helps. Time away from the honorable job you are doing is needed.

I do not have an answer to that
I will have to reach out to the organizer to see if it is possible
