Curb sensor hot wire

  • Ok I have the curb sensor installed and I need to know if the hot wire needs to be always hot or key hot. I got this info from the company but I'm an idiot and don't know what it means because he didn't directly just say hot all the time of key hot. So somebody with a brain explain this to me please

If you have a CA12, CA13, or CA14, the hot wire should be connected so that it has "alternator sense". The voltage needs to go about 13.3V so that the Curb Alert powers up and stays on for 20 minutes after you turn off your vehicle for safety during calibration.

  • I have mine wired to a fuse block. In the fuse block I have it setup so it is only on when it is running. That way I'm not draining the battery or listening to the sensor chime when I walk in front of the slingshot
