Well it’s definitely the ECM. Swapped out a buddies ECM and it cranks right up. Anyone know where to find or get one repaired?

Check on E-Bay for the ECM, you just may find one.

there is one from a 2016 and 2019. Mine is a S both listed are from a SL. The unit I borrowed was an SL and it started the bike, but there was a lamp error light on the dash and the headlights wouldn’t come on. Not sure if that’s the reason or I have another issue with the lights

Personally I would be a little worried about buying one off of Ebay or market place. Never know for sure and that the brains of the Slingshot. If you get a bad one from a dealer of a known vendor (DDM) you will have a recourse for a replacement. The 2015 & 2016 had a headlight problem that caused some recalls. don't think there was a problem with the 2017...check fuses.

EjFord the headlight problem was that the head lights were not fused correctly for the load of the hylagen headlights That was why Polaris did the headlight recall. It had nothing to do with the ECM. I had changed over to the LED headlights to decrease the electrical load after I found out what the problem was. I was on the way to SSITS in 2015 when I found out what the problem was before the recall. I could not run the high beams without tripping the breaker.

There is no difference in the Between the 2016 and the 2019, all of the Slingshots run the same ECM until you have a Polaris engine. There maybe some program changes between the different ECM's for each year model
