Restarting this thread as this happened on my ride today. I looked down and the range (miles remaining) showed a series of dots with the miles per gallon showing 00. I toggled to Mil/Gal and held the button for a few seconds till it did a reset. I was in slow stop & go traffic so for a few miles the numbers were fluxing till I got out on some open road. I suppose it will take a few fill-ups till it settles to a true Mil/Gal and Range.

Yep - been there done that - - dont know why it stopped working, but a reset got it back up and working

Something similar happened to me in the past.
I found that rotating through and resetting everything, including trip memories, did the trick.
Also, I found that doing this when the tank was full seemed to yield the best results. Not sure how the gauge cluster compiles this data but, I figured that having the tank full and all parameters reset would give it a baseline.
