Soft Brake Pedal

  • The vibration of the pedal is probably the anti-lock system activating.

I was thinking that, but if that is the case- I would think they should not be. This has happened during breaking on fairly smooth, straight, dry roads usually at less than 35 miles an hour. I'm wondering if a bad or failing master cylinder would activate the ABS? (As stated, we have bled & power bled the brakes several times, and they are still marginal, even immediately after bleeding.)

  • My fix was a new master cylinder along with 2 new pressure switches. Yesterday when I rolled my sling back to get my Bobcat out to clear snow (yes that's right, clear snow. We now have over 18 inches on the ground) I noticed what appeared to be hypoid gear oil. So now I'm stuck with the sling in the shop and so much snow I don't even dare trailer it to the dealer. I guess I'll change the rear angle pinion seal over the winter myself. (least I know it will be done properly)

All the oil might be in Alberta but the dipsticks are in Ottawa!
