Where are you coming from?
North georgia. About a 3 and a half hour ride.

Best suggestion I can give you is to keep an eye on the weather above your head, and always have a plan to be able to get off the road as soon as safely possible. I hit rain a couple days ago coming up from Florida, and got off the road at a filling station for a while, and then I traveled a little while until I hit the next band of rain, and decided to call it a night early. It cost me one night extra away from home, but it was the best thing to do. Don't be too nervous, but don't be too stubborn, either.
I'm coming up from East Central Florida. Leaving Tuesday morning early. It's going to be a good 12 hour ride plus traffic and weather delays. Three hours is a piece of cake
I drove down from Michigan Tues. off and on rain all day put on the rain suit and slow down in the rain. Pick your best 3 hour window and go.

I changed my reservation this morning at Comfort Inn from Tuesday to arriving on Monday as it currently appears to be some sun on Monday am. Tuesday does not look so good.
Just changed my reservation to Monday. Looks like a better window. Still going to put the wet suit on. My wife is gonna follow me in the car. She has no adventure spirit
