Ok so basically that number was sort of a like a hail mary gamble flip a coin type of situation that you lucked out(no offence meant) and your running HP is more like 430 or so according to a video i saw of you when you were testing the setup.

Comfortable around town... Have a gel cushion for long trips... It was a life saver driving from California to Houston (thanks to Ed, aka Zorro, from TDS for throwing it in)...

    Aftermarket brackets... Planted I believe...

Are they more comfortable than the Stock seats? Have you sat on a PRP and if so how do they compare?

Anyone with the PRP SS(gen2) how comfortable are they on long rides, i don't like the look of the PRP but at the same time I am trying to find something that would be equal to it in comfort since that is the main thing i need.

I am probably the only one who doesn't know but why does @rabtech Sling produce 510 WHP while everyone else is stuck in the high 300.

The closest i have seen here is @MACAWS @ 382WHP.

I know this was probably discussed in one of the build threads but i just don't want to read all of them so if one of you would be so kind to enlighten this grasshopper. ;(

I like my Ciphers! Much sportier IMO than prps, but the others you posted look similar...

Yeah that's my problem with the PRP and Corbin, they look more like what you would find in an 80's muscle car rather than a 2016 sporty batmobile...... :00008172:

How comfortable are those Cypher and did they fit the stock bracket or did you have to buy an aftermarket bracket.

I tried searching but didn't find any info so figured i would ask.

I decided to switch the seats after inspecting them today(took them off for the audio install) noticed that the back seam of the driver side is breaking/peeling rather than dealing with a warranty claim(shouldn't be happening with 5x miles.

Looking on CarID(don't want the PRP Seats) found the Sparco Expedition and NRG(leaning toward those Faster RED NRG) and Cipher CPA 1031.

Anyone has any experience mounting any of these?
Will they mount to the stock hardware or do i need a bracket?

i am now hungry for real food......... might have to switch from the Kale/salmon salad i was going to have.

PS. Thanks to you guys mentioning Driftwood BBQ, not the darn frog legs....

    Two thought:
    1. That quote above is your first problem, LOL.

    2. Get her interested in the forum. Let her see the quality of people here. Go to some local events, small enough to meet folks, watch some installs...basically, just get her involved. Pretty soon you will have her buying your mods for you.

lets just say she had a bad experience at sturgies a few years ago and ever since haven't been able to get her to join any group rides/events.

Will try the forum's angle and see if that works.

the company I work for did a similar giveaway at the SEMA show three years ago.
My suggestion would be to have keys made (40) but only one of the keys cranks it. 39 almost correct keys 1 that works.

Make sure you make extra dummy keys and triple check that they do not work. You do not want to have two that work.
39 confirmed non-working keys and the one working key are place the in a bag and have the 40 people pull blind.

A marina/radio station/dealer did something similar here a couple years ago.... it was very anti-climatic when the first one that pulled the key worked, i know the odds of that are high but it does ruin the whole contest for a lot of people since " you don't get your money's worth of entertainment"

This was the first thing i bought for my SS even before i had it with me, installation was a breeze especially since i was able to do it without unbolting the suspension(thank god for skinny fingers).

I am still having issues with getting it the hood to perfectly line up as it did before the mod but i am sure this is more of a user error than anything else, talked to @slingshotjimmy and he explained to loosen all the pivoting points and close the hood then line it up and tighten as many as you can while it is closed so it stays in position when you open it back up and then finish tightening it.

IIMNHO this is one of those mods that is a MUST have.

With only $4k in mods you obviously you don't have a turbo yet... lol
Welcome to the group! Probably see you out and about this summer.

Thanks and you betcha since i have a party in Eau Claire in june already planning to stop by for sure.

Anyways with only 51 miles on her(Darn you Salt and Brine) i think 4k is more than enough...... I am just buying small cosmetic and audio(most spent on audio crap TBH) until i figure out what i actually don't like regarding how she rides.

A Turbo is NOT something i will ever do, IF i ever go boosted it would be a Super Charger since i am a 25-70(twisties) kind of driver so a turbo doesn't really do anything for me other than spin the tail when i don't want it to.

The biggest regret i have on my last purchase is going for the 1198 Corse Elite vs the 848 Evo, i was convinced by a friend that i needed the extra power and to be honest never used it, other than for cool and rare factor(i have yet to see another person with one like mine 5+ years later) .

All I can say on this subject is my Sling has been the most fun I've ever had...on wheels!! Got mine in Dec of 2014. Only had a base and an SL available. Paid sticker price for an SL cause there was no dickering - price was what it was. Got one of first ones sold outta Texas and got an SL cause I liked the "upgrades". Little did I know just a couple months later I would find the "upgrades" sucked and I started pouring money into mods by the bucket full. Now I am over 2 years in and still adding stuff and considering things to remod my mods. Had I known then what I know now I woulda bought a base or blank canvas so to speak and be a couple thousand ahead of what I am now. Don't get me wrong - thru the machine and the people I have gotten way more out than I ever put in. So buy you one as cheap as you can get it and start making it your own - unless you luv everything about the one you buy odds are you will need a bucket or two of money also :)

When we are in the process of buying a SS and we hear this statement we all think is BS or crazy talk but it is so true is not even funny.

I just got my SS on new year's eve and due to weather has been just sitting in the garage and i can tell you that i am almost 4k in the hole for basic must have(for me) mods, nothing extravagant like some people have so i can only imagine how much they have poured into it.

So if you are buying new buy the cheapest bike you can find and go from there.

I think subs up there might be best...? It's almost like they're behind the seat... That's where most are...

But I dunno... Actually, yes, I think that's where I'll eventually place mine when I get to them (long list, short money)...

there is a big difference between behind the seat and behind the head, i can almost guarantee that a normal person would get a headache in 10-15 minutes.
