But the one thing I am definitely going to do, atleast with the speakers, like @Neosolidus suggested is stick with marine grade. It's a slight compromise with sound reproduction but they are alot more durable in less than desirable weather conditions. You can do this and if you run into a snag there are plenty members on here more than willing to help. :thumbsup:

    I will say this about marine grade, to me I use good quality spears and have never had an issue. I don't buy marine grade and I'm in the rain allot! THey get wet and have never let me down because of rain. But I'm not buying cheapo speakers either..

    Guess I'm gonna see.. I already have 6.5 coaxial and 6.5 separates with a 10" sub. Next is the 6.5 in the new head rest area.. Can't wait!

    I did talk to thew powder coater I have been using and they will not touch it. Said if its "Cast" they don't do it. They also don't do low heat.

    @mniron is absolutely right ... PC is much more durable than paint but temps needed to regular PC does funny things to aluminum. I would use DuraCoat over a low temp PC any day. Very durable and no heat needed to melt it. The structural integrity of the swing arm is pretty important!
