headed to Vegas. Flight booked. @MBMedic still good to get me from the airport?
what time / day?
Busy reworking my route cause the weather changed......
May end up taking a very scenic route by way of Wichita, lol..... only route without snow now.... wasn't forcast last week, but going to drop for 4 days through the Dakota's to Denver, lol
Fuck it...... scenic long way South to Wichita then West through NM and AZ..... think I even touch the top of TX now, lol
Now THIS is a road trip, lol

Well, that seems to be the consensus, although since I haven't driven out there, I was only going off some of the other bike forums and such. Believe me, I'm happy to leave it home.
I have done many trips now in the Sling in the 3000 + Miles range. In year 1, I took along a gas can and never used it. The Sling travels a good 4 hours per tank of fuel. You will always find something along major routes which will allow you to fill up.
I am looking at a trip to Alaska however for next year.... C4sRTrEN6EK2
That trip I may take a tank with me as I am not sure what there is for Fuel further up along the highway as you head north.

yeah, i mentioned for the OP of this sling to post it here.
Nice design

20's - 30's pretty much... but I'm talking at night so you won't have any sun to help warm you.
Ok guys..... exactly how cold do you think it gets up here in Canada? Ya'll know we don't actually live in igloo's right?
A half helmet is just fine for everything except rain. You'll appreciate a full face helmet then.
Other than that, expect temps between say 65 to 85 while in Canada. In the Dakotas last year when we went to SSITR, which Sundre ran the very next weekend, we hit 105.
Hope that helps

You think? I've heard that the Dakotas and MT can be pretty sparse. Not the case?
THAT is a plan. Can't believe I didn't have that written down.
not an issue crossing on major roads. Never had an issue
You're going to love it.... its just going to be warm

Very Nice.
Question, how far below the light assembly do they hang?
Specifically what is visable from the front. I am looking for exactly this with about a 3" underhang below the headlight assembly. Looking to mount some Emergency Lighting LED's for work purposes.
Are a pair of "one offs" possible?
-
Already can't see behind me, so bags on @SlingLow racks doesn't affect my vision, but I don't like anything in my blind spots. But IMHO the install looks nice and clean.
I kind of mirror this sentiment. To me, it's not like I can rotate my head around and look back through the hoops, so visibility behind my head isn't a concern. I have also removed the rear view mirror because it is basically less than useless. I just run with the two side mirrors, so the MeanSling bags were a natural fit for me.
On your mod, I think the bag set-up looks just fine. Job well done.

Jumanji was great....
Saw the Sling in it and I burst out laughing because its sitting in a shed in the middle of the jungle.....
Only my wife knew why I was laughing, everyone else was like...... shhhhhh

Heh, well I will likely still get them installed, then hook up the Amp when I get back home through a local source.
Amps I have access to.... The Pod's are only online or at an event such as this.

Congrats & enjoy

Question..... for the roll bar speaker pods....
I have the V2 - SSV speaker pods for the front, do I "need" an amp to run the roll bar pods off the factory system, or can I run the 4 speakers without an amp?
Really want the pods when I am in Vegas, but can't afford an amp right now. Hoping that the pods and the new roof will give me lots of sound for the road without the amp.....
But.... better to ask the questions right?

Can you find out who's rear fender is on the SS in the pictures?
Well, the photo is from 2 years ago, lol, but I think it is this...

I have no further info.
Had other mods first

Scale suspension has a payment option.
so does Slingmods too for that matter.
Not available in Canada.... but in the US....

K. I pinged DDM and asked how much for the rear now and then the fronts in a month or three if (when) I want to get the front pair. In the mean time I found an option for the interior that fits and actually installs it self.
yeah, that's a 'mod' that isn't going to do much itself, lol

Thanks every one for chiming in. Guess I'll save my Kellogg's box tops for a while and get the GT's. I'm steeling this from a CFSlingers member but...Do you think this will fit into my Slingshot?
Thought you wanted shocks, not Air Bags?
-
Sorry for the typ-ohs. That was Bill Steins, JRI and DDM's. The DDM's seem reasonable...
As a daily driver, and 53000 kms in 2 years (6-7 months driving per year)... around 39000 miles.... I got into a pair of JRI GT's.
Don't regret the choice at all. They are amazing.
