I might have a chance in an exhaust loudness competition! 🤔

I bought this tool to get the top stater bolt on and off. Took me 12 installs to find out the first 2 starters were bad, and the 3rd one worked. Buying a new starter with the same problem as the first starter will really make you question what the problem is... 😬🔫 lol

I’ll be there! Any of the Texans joining? wokka and others, I think there is a few Houstonias here ☝️
Dave@DDMWorks I saw you on the Houston sponsor list. You swinging by in late June?

Dave@DDMWorks MACAWS and the Sling Crew,
Any recommendations on an Intake Manifold for the Water/Meth injection port?
Thank you for shipping out the Track Clutch. Can't wait the to smoke rubber off this third wheel, before the DF Project 324 Kit comes in.

Assuming the engine is indestructible. Pre-ignition/knock/detonation start to occur around 15psig boost on 93 octane with good temperatures. Google “boost limits of 93 octane”.
Fuel will detonate without a spark plug. The determine factors are:
1. Temperature
2. Pressure
3. Fuel Octane
I prefer pump fuel to get more than 120 miles of range from a full gas tank and pump station availability. So #3 is held constant at 93 octane.14psig (detonation pressure limit) boost at 6,500rpm gets me about 375whp with good air and cylinder temperatures. To get 475whp at 6,500rpm with more boost, I will need to drastically reduce temperatures. This can be done with:
-water/meth injection
-great after-cooler
-oil cooler
-160 deg steady state coolant temp
There are several other ways to significantly increase HP, but here I am responding to the boost pressure limits of 93 octane in relation to detonation without a spark. -
Two months ago, my starter solenoid would click but the stater motor would not rotate. Eventually used jumper cables to provide negative to starter case, positive to motor power and solenoid power. Same click but no rotation. Installed new replacement starter and same problem. Replaced it with a 3rd starter motor and everything works great!
The long story spans a couple months, a hand full of troubleshooting methods, and removing/installing the stater a dozen times.

Wanted to add to Xclaudio24 , Thank you Angie@DDMWorks Dave@DDMWorks for your kindness and support!
Dave@DDMWorks rabtech and All the slinginfo crew,
Please hammer me with professional and unprofessional opinions on this...
Not really a need to buy the Stage 3 Turbo kit unless planning to run E85 fuel or alternative race fuel. I think we can push the boost limits (14-16psig) of 93 Octane on Stage 2 Turbo kit, right? LOL
Looks like I'm stuck at 18.5 effective compression ratio with 14-16psig boost, 93 octane and 9.5 static compression ratio (ignoring dynamic compression ratio ).
I'm currently researching:
- increasing rpm rev limits

- 160 deg thermostat

- oil radiator

- water/meth injection

- of course special tune
... to prevent pre-ignition/knock/detonation and get closer to 450-475 whp on 93 octane.

I used to think I had a Bachelor's Degree in reciprocating engine principles, come to find out I don't even have an Associate's Degree. I'll be contacting the professors after I catch up on the basics.

I think your know which 2 wire go to the actuator, maybe?
1 of the lighter plug wires is negative, which might always be connected to the actuator negative wire. You may be able to use an ohm meter (at 0 ohms) to test which of the 2 lighter plug wires is negative. The positive wire is likely on a switch (or infinite ohms). If both wire conduct to the actuator wires, let me know and I may be able to think of something else.
Some photos may help also.

Fantastic tire logos!
What is that white tire lettering material and where was it purchased? -
I believe the Stage 1 Turbo is limited to 300whp or less. And I believe the stock engine can handle that pretty well without upgrades. If anyone corrects me on this, then I'm lucky my motor has not exploded yet... LOL
I don't know the torque specs for the Head Studs, but Kyle (ZZP) and Dave (DDM) build these motors so they have the secret recipes. If no one responds within a day or two, you could send them a direct message. They are both kind and helpful professionals.

Thank you for the advice!
Bought the Track Clutch and Slave Cylinder today, hope to have it installed before the DF Project 324 4 Wheel Kit arrives...
You think your Solstice/Sky Shift Adapter will fit the Slingshot? I like the look...
Also, do you have a Shift Knob like the one below, but has a DDMWORKS logo?
You might think I'm joking... Until you see my other projects! LOL

Capped the EVAP intake manifold port.
Hid the EVAP solenoid.
Welded some custom flag holders -
I'm hoping to get an upgraded clutch installed before my DF Project 324 4 wheel conversion arrives in 4-6 weeks.
Do you think the Street Clutch 450ft/lb (382ft/lb at the wheels) will hold up to the maximum torque output on the Stage 3 turbo with 93 octane (granted all other components designed/working at peak power/efficiency)? I may move the radiator to the back for added weight, in getting the tires to hook. Also note the 4 wheel kit is 7" shorter wheelbase and I'll be running some large drag radials, to assist with traction.
http://www.ddmworks.com/24L-Pe…tch-by-DDMWorks_p_64.html
I would prefer not to use the Track Clutch, but I'll buy it if the Street Clutch will slip.
Anyone else have experience with 4 wheel kits, high HP and slipping clutches?

The orange and black scheme looks great!
The lights and wheel lugs are a fantastic match!
Are those heated seats, what manufacturer?
Mine current seat covers shorted out after a couple months...

I’m jealous, but I got to stay focused 😬
Need to get to 500hp first 😰
Lol

I've seen full sail pirate ships with lower drag coefficients than a slingshot. With this kind of turbulence, not sure you could find a bad place to put it... LOL
-
Hold on, let me check....
I couldn't figure it out. Anyone else know the details?

It would be more of an even fight, because Tyson was better at 21 years old.
Tyson fell off the deep end after Cus passed (god rest his soul).
