Well sure! That is if they stopped production with Wokka's Slingshot and haven't made any more since. (insert sarcasm here if it wasn't noticed by anyone!)

That is the total number of Slingshots that were produced for sale that got a VIN number up to and including Wokka's. He's had his awhile (not to mention they were still building them between the date of manufacturing his and also for the days after that until he actually purchased his), so there have been more built since. And I mentioned those that were produced for sale with VIN, as some of the first ones (pre or early production) may have been built for testing on the streets before any were sold. That's a common practice with some manufacturers. The last 5 digits of the VIN number would be the number of Slingshots that were built for sale at the time of VIN stamping on any individual Slingshot. Mine is 16890.

I bought mine on December 27th, and I'm assuming it has a manufactured date on it, will check when I'm home this weekend.

I did break down and buy the cheapo one on ebay : https://www.ebay.com/itm/TPMS-…ernal-Sensor/283280450220

I'm going to test it in a car first and if it works out, I'll buy another and put in the SS. I plan to mount it under the dash, to the right of the instrument cluster. I'll likely have to make some type of adapter to put it there, but this thing isn't going to be waterproof and due to heat issues, I don't want it in the sun. Plus, under there will be out of the way and be within easy eyesite if it does alarm.

Once I get it into the car, will post up a review of it.

Thanks rabtech — this is a great idea - I will add R-Shot Accessories product instructions for the products we sale. This will give folks a good idea of the installation prior to purchasing any item from R-Shot ahead of time, along with the main reason for this thread. If instructions are left out of the packaging of a sold product by mistake ... a main directory or repository is a great avenue for quick reference directions.

Agreed, I hope all of the vendors do this, it's really nice to review docs before buying

I have taken on the responsibility as general manager of twist dynamics and Welter Performance still. Although I have not got settled in you can call me now or anytime day or night and I will stand behind these products and help you with whatever help you need. Moving forward I hope you never have these issues again but if you ever do or anybody ever does do not hesitate to call me.

Jeff, I really appreciate the reply on here. Last weekend I got my canvas top and windshield in. The windshield had good instructions, but the top came with none.

I tried to call, as well as emailed both slingshotonly as well as sales@twistdynamics.com. It was after hours, but I did try.

I received no reply until Monday, and only from my contact who I was working with, Robyn, at slingshotonly. Understandably, it was a weekend, but thats when I have time to play with the mods. I received no reply back from Twist at all.

I got my Twist CAI in this week and opened the box this morning, no instructions. I could probably figure it out, but it would be great to get the official ones, make sure I don't mess anything up.

Speaking of, the top, with the help of someone on here, I got it on, but after reviewing the instructions, I didn't let the glue on the velcro cure as it stated. It seems to be ok, but I'm concerned after a few seasons pass, any thoughts on that?

Thanks again, it's late and I won't bother you this evening, but would like to be emailed tomorrow the instructions for the Twist CAI.

sales@twistdynamics, if you can send me the CAI installs, that'd be great.

rabtech that's an awesome idea, love the idea for the file upload.

Ok, two out of three of the products I bought from slingshotonly.com that were all Twisted Dynamics came without instructions.

I realize that to the person(s) who are intimate with the product don’t need help, but to someone new to this product line of mods, we need help.

Can I figure it out, probably, but it’s just bad customer service.

Going forward, I will keep this in mind before spending my dollars there.

These were my very first mods to buy, and before I found these forums. I realize they are not a sponsor here, and they have some good product, but I’m not happy.

This is a time waste and that’s not something that I have a lot of.

    /rant off

Now that I have all of the parts needed to put in my head-unit, I'm going to install the cameras. I'm curious where others have mounted their front camera, and how you routed the cabling. I haven't looked that closely at the head-light wiring, but my initial thought is just to run the camera wire the same route. However, if people have thoughts from their trial and errors, would love to hear them.

Also, if you have them, include pics of where you mounted your camera please.

    Thanks!

when you click on your pin and your location window opens up the row of icons at bottom where the camera is , also shows a dripping paint can , click on that then select "more" then scroll all the way down past hundreds of icons, the last option is 'CUSTOM' you click on it and upload any photo that would make a good little icon

    Thanks!

Whoever created the red slingshot with with the panda, I sorta stole your slingshot image, removed the panda, changed up colors and added my own flare. While the fast-red color is awesome, I wanted to customize it. Plus, I like being unique, so I have my own icon up now :)

I'm horrible with photo editing, and I don't do it enough to be any good, but I spent an hour on this in Gimp, and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Yeah, that's pretty frequently reported with the solar powered ones, most have an option to power from usb, which is what I'd likely do if I found it worked well enough to put into my SS. I'd find a good location to mount it and not put it on top of the dash.

Bigdog If you've had to clear the sensors and re-associate before, that's just another reason I don't want to buy the Fobo.

Edward Neal I've been tempted to buy one of the cheapo's like that, I'm just worried about reliability, and if a big name brand like Fobo can't get it right, I'm worried about the cheap knock-offs.

Found this one today on ebay : https://www.ebay.com/itm/TPMS-…ernal-Sensor/283280450220 and for $30, it's worth a gamble, but I'm not going to put them in my SS, but on one of the cars that already has TPMS (dummy light only) to test it.
