Now I just need a couple hundred for another accessory. Problem is I have $2500 of other mods I am looking to do first. Not to mention over the past year l've spent $5000 and don't have a turbo or SC on it. Someone :00007983: Me!

Just received the DMM Armrest today, i was skeptical at first especially at the price, but then found out they were hand made, Kudos to DDM, its definitely top quality and functional as well, if you have 195.00 burning a hole in your wallet then i would recommend.

I have some powder coated cup holders would I be able to use them?

That is just out damn standing! Congrats Rab. I'm sure you got a bit of satisfaction out of that job @Painter pictures after the install!

That involves many processes to create painter perfection! That's why you RULE! :00000436:

Can paint pros or those who have had an estimate done comment on the cost of a paint job . At end of riding season I want to have my sling painted candy red or orange with metal flake like the colors in the pics. any idea on cost

Those are bad ass colors. They have muscle looking hot rod writing all over them.

Why are there so many guests? 20 as I just checked. What's the deal don't have a Slingshot.
Get one and climb aboard. Or just become a member because it's a awesome forum and we are getting close to 300! :00000441::00008040:

    Three slingshots didn't make it

That sucks! So sorry for you Tango. Man that pretty white frame too. Glad there wasn't physical damage to add to it. The SS can be repaired!

I'm curious to what the 90 degree small port does on the top of the intake manifold. The port has the hose attached to it and then is connected to a sensor at the rear of the cam/valve cover.
I broke it off so I repaired it by inserting a brass splice 1" long and JB weld. Drove it a couple times. Seems to run the same. The diameter is a bit smaller now. I don't think it can be replaced. Looks like it is molded as one piece with the intake. I will be purchasing a new ported intake from RistRocket Racing. Anyone installed one?

Just wanted to say hey and officially introduce myself. I'm a pharmacist near Charlotte NC. I've had the SS for a little over a month and even with a short stay in the pit for headlight recall and such, I've put over 2k on her even with the less than ideal riding weather we've had of late. So far I've added the alpha CAI, 1320 header, Alpha adjustable exhaust, led headlights, headlight bypass switch, underbrow LEDs, prp seats, assault pedal covers, dead pedal cover, and passenger foot plate. Got tricled under glow in the way and combining it with an xkchrome controller vs their own Bluetooth controller. The DW thinks I've spent more on it since I bought it than I paid for it lol. It's a 2016 base grey but the previous owner upgraded all components to SL Simply bc he wanted the grey. Ive ridden MCs for 20 years and still own a roadglide ultra but I can honestly say at 40yo this is the most pure driving experience I've had out side of a true race build. It's not the fastest. It's no the quickest. It doesn't ride the best. But when he sum of all aspects is added up it is by far my fav vehicle. Anyhow, I've been watching and reading posts on both forums for over a month now and figured I'd introduce myself (I posted this over there too before things went south) It's a pleasure to meet you all and I look forward to riding together one day. Thank you to the admin that created this forum as a drama free hangout for like minded adults!. I have three kids and if I want the kind of childish balogna from "over there" I'll hang around my seven year old little girl and her friends.

Take care and thanks again for all the info on both sites. It was invaluable as my boys and i turned some wrenches on the new toy.

Happy to have a Pill-Sling-Er onboard. Glad to see you spending so much on mods.

Torque specs are 89 inch pounds or 10nm . The pattern to tighten isn't all that important (I know I'm going to regret ever saying that) as long as you tighten them up in 2 or 3 steps, and go in a pattern starting in the center and working outward (both top and bottom) alternately. ie Top row center, bottom row center, top row right next out from center, bottom row right next out center. Top row next out from center left, bottom row next out from center left - If you get my drift. Always work from the center out in both directions so it doesn't warp or worse. Wish I had the time to find a diagram of the bolt pattern so i could number them out for you and label each one.

Hope this helps you get that wonderful piece of art displayed on your ride

That's more like it. Thanks Fun. I new I was remembering 10 somewhere. He definitely wouldn't have over torqued.

The bolts just need to be opposite in tightening. Go corner to corner. I think the spec is only like 10 in.lbs. I just snugged them then just a bit tighter. Small 1/4" drive. The rubber washers are made so the bolts don't need to be very tight.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll try it without removing the axle.

    Stephen

Pretty sure after the nut is removed you will need to tap the axle in until the pulley comes off the axle spline. The axle doesn't need to be taken completely out. The old loctite should be cleaned off the axle spline and pulley hole before replaced. New green loctite needs to be added at that time too.
