Yeah, I debated getting a small trailer for the SS itself, even looked at one of the tear drop ones that you can sleep in or making one of that expedition tent mounts for trailer. But I've got the cargo / toy hauler now (worked on roughing in some more plumbing yesterday, starting electrical today).

That being said, doing it all over, I would have bought a small motor home and an open trailer for the SS because I could have used the MH by itself when I needed. (I also go to Renaissance festivals.)

The Slingshot should fit right in with the 'Renaissance festival' …

So, as a new SS owner that bought one in late September and has not seen hot weather yet..... Why do so many owners say you need a top to get relief from the sun?

I routinely drive thousands of miles on vacation all around the country on my two wheeler and rarely feel like I need relief from the sun.

Is the SS that much hotter/different than my bike???

88,000+ miles in the seat of my Slingshot "TOPLESS" … Lots of different reasons for the tops, but my recommendation to new Slingshot owners get lots of seat time in before going to nuts with 'mods' --- so many things that we can do but any change you make will effect things down the line. One comment was getting air movement into the cockpit … lots of different things we can do for this from things we can buy to things that we can put together and not spend a lot of $$$.00 .

MeanSling has a top that can be removed frame and all in 5 minutes to be back to stock look. It’s $899 and looks better too in my opinion.

Also, the top lifts up from the back to allow easy in and out. Being I’m tall it’s nice not to hit your head on the frame that comes with a lot of tops.

Down side is you can’t pull yourself up from the frame like you can with the other tops.

Either way, there are many tops out there that will meet your goals. Just go out and check them out. Good luck.

Need to enter the middle picture in the competition for this month...

Photo Competition #13 - Your Slingshot Next To A Roadside Oddity

I thought the Slingshot would be of 'male' gender with your lovely wife and 3 lovely daughters in the house. Hope all is well with all the girls.

Here in PA it gets serious, in our county the schools are closed already (our daughter in law who is a teacher) and lives with us will be home for at least two weeks.

And I just found out beginning next Tuesday all the liquor stores will be closed till further notice so who cares about TP??:thumbsup:

Georgia was wondering why there have not been long lines at the liquor stores....kids off school going to drive parents NUTS...

To Lowes for some spring project supplies and grass seed. Sorry to see the pictures of snow some folks posted in the report your weather section. Luckily the weather is turning nicer here in South Jersey. Hang in there its just around the corner!

Notice, I park the sling far away! :)

If you park a little closer you can flirt with the 'girls' that are drooling over it when you come out.

Started snowing here about 9 am. Finally quit around 1 pm. Weatherman last night said, "No snow north of Hiway 20." (Iowa).

We're 40 miles north of 20, and we have over an inch of NO SNOW.

Just at the southern tip of Lake Michigan and radar still show some weather....we have clouds. I guess that's weather.

I did talk to them and the prices are the same for Riders Advantage and Polaris that they sell.

I’m now looking for SlingShot owners who have Riders Advantage and what experiences they have had. 5yrs coverage versus 3yrs coverage for just $400 more sounds good.

I have been active on the forums since Feb 2015 and I have never heard any one speak of 'Riders Advantage'. All I know is that the Polaris extended has worked well for me and a number of others who hang out here.

Glad to hear all is well in your world.

Ok, here as well. Lara(wife) was told to work from home. Sterling(2 year old son) still has daycare, but could stay home with mom should it become cancelled. I am a vital service, so I will always be working.

I gather you don't buy, "We are doing this to slow the spread so that medical services aren't overwhelmed". I personally haven't heard much, "This is Trump's fault", "Trump is doing a horrible job"...which would be a stupid political tactic since anyone with any weight(news anchors, congressmen, governors...) that would say that would be at fault themselves.

Wolf good to know that some people here are vital. Is your son getting his share of Slingshot time.

    Who do you have?

DO the POLARIS warrantee.... All of the dealers have room to move on the price, but you need to get it before your 2 yr run out. Fix My Toy a vender here offers a 20 or 25 % Discount and it's Polaris and can be used anywhere. Get a price from them and go to your dealer and have them match the price. They will have to do the warrantee work, but it's nice to give them a chance to make a $ on the sale of the warrantee.

I have the extended 3 yr warrantee --- I have used it several. My dealer/tech knows I have it so he goes thru things and checks all when I'm in for service. Fixed a number of things before they flet me out in the woods someplace.
