I had a fun filled adventure. I drove out to Indianapolis Indiana first on May 26th @9:25pm which was a 15 hours straight ride, it was brutal, 5 Redbulls a SlimJim and a granola bar. As some of you know as I crossed through Pennsylvania I was driving around 80Mph at around 3am in the morning the Heavens rained down upon me. My phone was wet and it limped on for another couple hours, the battery was running out and when I plugged it back in smoke bellowed from the connector. Luckily I was on Rte 70 and had 200miles to go till I reached Indy. I met some friends I have not met in 11 years and two I have not met in 3 years. I was fortunate enough to meet up with @SlingRider who was heading down to meet @Painter and rendezvous with @DKF Texas It was nice to hang out and be able to drive down with them. @Painter the things I was fortunate to see what you do for people put a smile on my face. The artwork you did for @DKF Texas was thoughtful and impressive.

My time in Maggie Valley was amazing. *EDIT* I also want to give a shout out to @EjFord for being a perfect roommate! I would come back and he would be sleeping and when I woke up he would be gone, hmmm is that what Married guys strive for? lol Thanks again @EjFord for sharing the expenses it was a pleasure meeting you. I pushed my Slingshot to the limits and questioned my sanity haha.. I thank @rabtech for pacing me through the Dragon. He asked me if I wanted to lead and I wasn't comfortable at that point to be up front with no limitations. Rab drives at my pace and it was intense best ride of my life! Crazy thing was my tire getting sucked off the edge of the road when I wasn't even driving fast! Thank you to @Noel Hughes for hooking me up after I ripped off my LED strip I just put on! Close second was having the pleasure of driving with @Cameron Roberts and @Shack I was able to weasel my way though the pack till I was up front with them. The Rattler proved to be another great ride to tame!

@StickerDick Thank you for planning a fun ride and adding in the Zipline.. it was my first time doing that and will stay with me for years to come!

Thank you to everyone I had the pleasure to meet and become friends and for all your hospitality. For the ones I did not get to meet you must have been hiding from me! lol I wish I had more time to spend with some of you, there was so much going on and I was flying by the seat of my pants everyday. I am looking forward to next year if I can make it God willing.

I packed up Sunday morning to see most of you had all left and the Maggie Valley adventure had come to a close. I threw my rain gear on and drove on to my next stop Birmingham Alabama!... I was lucky enough to meet up with @thesabrerattler and his better half Sharon Jackson in Alabama and enjoyed good conversation with dinner and drinks, thanks again for treating me!

I then met up with a friend I had not seen in 8 years crashed there and hung out for 3 days, then headed out to Georgia and met up with a friend I had not met in 11 years and crashed for a day at his place. Made my way back up into North Carolina where I met with my friend I had not seen in over 20 years, only stayed for a few hours as I had to get up to West Virginia where I have not seen some family for around 30 years. Yes it is pretty crazy to see how fast time flys and life just passes you by. I was fortunate enough to have planned all of this out around my SSITS trip and take things one day at a time. It would have been nice to have a significant other to do all this with and hopefully next year I will have met someone who will be my partner in crime.

Thank you all again for the fun,the memories and the friendships I hope will stay and grow as the years pass by!

Anyone going to Upstate New York for the next event???????

It all worked out meeting up with @SlingRider in Indiana to drive down and meet you @Painter and of course scooping up @DKF Texas I did not have a plan from Indiana and no one seemed to be around to cruise with so this all made the drive much more enjoyable! There was so much going on that I didn't have enough time to spend with everyone, thankfully now that we have met we will see each other for sure in the not to distant future! I appreciate you all allowing me to tag along!

You were making fun of my Boston accent? :00007991: lol

Lots of you finally got to meet my bride during the rally. She asked me to tell all of you how much she enjoyed meeting all you guys & gals. For those of you telling me she is keeping me alive (lol) I dug this out of the ancient history vault and thought I would let ya see why I chased her like a hound chases a rabbit.....and still do

Damn that is sexy.... the Rainbow suspenders and all! It was a great time and I am greatful to have met the both of you and been invited into the circle of friends! I look forward to hanging out with you guys sooner than later!

Send a picture and I will process your application for passenger riding. I might have a passenger spot so act now! :D

So I am now in Indianapolis Indiana... 15 hours later...

I had 5 hours sleep the night before. Left my house around 9:23pm Thursday night. The drive was going well..then I hit Pennsylvania and the rain just instantly fell from the sky in buckets while going 80mph. I couldn't pull the charging cords fast enough and grab the phone. I flew as fast as possible to get off the highway to find a gas station, partially soaked.. Put on my rain gear, dried my phone off. Couldn't find a hand dryer anywhere. The phone was working but acting squirrel, I left the charging cord off. Put the phone in a zip lock bag. Drove for another couple hours. Phone was dying fast on battery power, plug in the power cord and all of a sudden smoke and burnt plastic...

I was now truly alone, navigation down, music down, no phone. Luckily I was on Route 70 and I had about 200 miles straight shot. I arrived in Indy around 12:30pm. Went shopping for a new cellphone, luckily I have all my stuff backed up on Google. Didn't have the phone I wanted at Best Buy and had to go with the $500 version. So hopefully there is a BestBuy in North Carolina I can exchange this for the phone I want. The adventure has begun lol

I had a late night race with a jacked up Turbo diesel truck 3" exhaust, pouring out soot as he got on it. Going about 130 balls out around 6k, slight turn was coming up and he almost lost it. My suspension is set on softer for the ride and it got a little lose, so I decided to let off and not crash my ride.. (I know I said drive safe in my earlier post, but he baited me!)
Fast truck let me tell you.

I am probably leaving here early Monday morning to head down to Maggie Valley. Can't wait to see you all.

"the Rubber washer will get compressed to much and squish out. I also used a hardened washer that went around the collar of the bolt as seen in the pictures. Because you had to tighten it down too much it was not working with the rubber washer.."
I'm a "tad" confused but that doesn't take much.... in the picture where you have the bolt going thru both belt connectors, did you already remove the rubber washer, and is the black washer the 'hardened washer' you referred too.

Where you see the black rubber washer it is in the pictures I am just holding the bolt. The last picture shows it with the hardened black washer and another washer inside. I did not show the rubber washer tightened down. It was not tight and the washer just spread out, so I just took it off and fixed it.

I am heading out tomorrow night to drive around 15 hours to get to Indianapolis Indiana. I may go see the Indy 500!! I am meeting up with some friends first then heading down probably the 30th Monday morning driving another 7-8 hours to Maggie Valley.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone! Please be safe (myself included lol) Let's all say some prayers that everyone makes it there and back safe and lets have a great time!

@Bill Martin I have a special shot glass I am bringing for me to drink out of haha
    :00000436:

So I had to continue this because I can only attach a maximum of 10 pictures.

Here you feed the excess back through the hole and bring it up and wrap it tight. Take a zip tie as seen in the picture below to make it neat and it will not unravel.

Tuck it down, you can only push the inside straps down as seen in the second picture.

The outside strap repeat the same step and zip tie it and just push it under the threaded bolt hole. The cover will conceal it when bolted back on.

Bottom bolts for lap belts. I use the same factory belt mounting points and hardware. However when you add the extra lap belt to the inside bolt the Rubber washer will get compressed to much and squish out. I also used a hardened washer that went around the collar of the bolt as seen in the pictures. Because you had to tighten it down too much it was not working with the rubber washer..

So I used 2 washers and it worked out perfect.

Final pictures when I can get a good picture of them on the new PRP seats!!

    Quality work there my friend...impressive!

    Thanks Irobbie

I am pretty meticulous when I do things. If I can't do something right I would have someone do it. I try to find a clean and efficient way to get the job done. I might use that plastic trim edging I have to check it out first. I hope to finish up the install later today. It is easy but I go slow so I don't screw anything up :/

So I have the passenger side cutouts done. Measured up from the top lid of the storage bracket about 1" 1/4" and a little over 3" wide. I have an opening a little over a 1/4" more like 5/16"

Used a 1/4" drill bit, reinforced cutoff wheel in the 90degree dremel attachment then used a large flat file and a small rounded file for the edges. I used the painters tape to mark out all the measurements and cut through the tape.

Here I inserted a 1/2 inch washer to fill the hole the bolt flange normally sits into.

Here is how the bracket will sit using the original bolts with washer underneath.

Here is the Video I found from Schroth to tie the 3" shoulder belts using the 2" bolt in brackets.

My first bolt in bracket tie down practice, I have to see how much length I need when I install them.

    More pics to come later!

(Edited to show the continued process)

Found a smaller pack of black plastic Edge Trim for $3.99 (MORE THAN ENOUGH) ( I am going to bring the rest of what I have to the SSITS if someone needs it )
