It sure would be great if someone who had a steady hand, talent and balls of steel would offer to do the install at Maggie Valley. I'd be there at the front of the line. Already having holes drilled for the hood buttons now, I would hate to cut up the hood and not have them in the proper position.

Rab had the other pins before installing the new gadgets. I thought he posted a "how to" or at least posted pictures of the operation as it was done. That was past yesterday so I really don't remember.

Edward Neal You are out of line and need to take a step back. Your reply does nothing for the conversation. You posted your opinion and he posted his. Let it go. rabtech I vote to close this thread or move it to "Politics Suck". It bears no fruit for the SlingShot community as a whole and only serves to divide the community.

after a lot of politicians go out of office they become lobbyists....we don’t need lobbyists. All that is ....is More corrupt politics....
corrupt politicians should have longer sentences....lobbyists should be illegal...pretending you’re affiliated with one political party when you’re not should be illegal. If you’re running for office....every campaign promise you make to get elected will be held against you if you don’t do them....With jail time for each lie...If you can’t be an honest politician you should be in jail.

You know damned well that those two words can never be used in the same sentence! Shame on you!!

I would agree with most everything you said except not being able to hold ANY public office after 2 terms. I am in agreement with 2 terms at any given position to never be repeated but I believe if they did a good enough job in those 2 terms then they could be eligible for a higher office for 2 terms. Let’s say they were the mayor of a city then they were elected to the office of Governor then they ran for President. I am definitely against these folks that sit in the same office for years and years.

There is likely a "headlight relay" in the fuse box that has failed closed allowing voltage to flow to the lights continous. Try pulling the relays one at a time until the lights go off. Then replace that relay.

During a recent trip to the mountains FunCycle and some of the others in the group were sittin on the porch one afternoon talking about track days. I made the comment that I had contacted Barber's Motorsports Park near Birmingham multiple times in an effort to get some info on their track rental. While sitting there I attempted to contact them again and this time was able to get some information. *NOTE* There has to be a $5 million dollar insurance policy that can be obtained through Kraig Hopkins and it is an additional cost. We would definitely have to get a lot more people to participate than what came to Roebling Road to make it affordable enough for me to participate.

I think one thing that would be fairly easy that could make a huge difference would be if police forces tried as best as possible to have the police that are out on the ground to actually be from and live in the neighborhoods they are responsible for protecting - - I would think just this alone would greatly improve the relationship between the police and the people - - - having the cop be the guy who lives down the street, the guy who's kids play with your kid has to work better than having a cop who is viewed as an outsider who doesn't even know the personality of the neighborhood

That would be "neighborhood" policing sort of. I am a Constable in Alabama and we are required to live in the precinct where we are elected. Although we can and do go anywhere in the county we are really only responsible for our own precinct. On one side of the coin it normally works well because I live in a rural area and know "MOST" of the people who live in my precinct. That might not work so well in bigger cities where that are many thousands of people within a given precinct. I can see where having your family at risk for someone seeking revenge for the job you do being a concern. Yes my family does face the same possibilities but from much fewer folks and most of them are known to us so they/we are not as likely to be blindsided. The fact still remains when you apprehend and arrest someone and they have to go away for a long time the possibility of them or some of their family and friends seeking revenge is real. That is one reason why some cops prefer not to have their families live where they police.

Yea I was planning on selling it even before this happened ...and now that I have to dump more money into it just sealed the deal...I'm done lol....any ideas on where I can get a reliable motor?

Used motors are plentiful. Check you local salvage yard. Depending on the mileage on them they should go from $500 to $1200. If you have the tools and someone to help you it can be changed out in a day. Hate to see you so dissatisfied with your sling. I have to admit what bad luck I've had with mine was brought on by me. I have one of Dave's super duper heavy duty bullet proof indestructible engines sitting in the floor just waiting on the chance to be put in. If it can be torn up I am the guy!

Now to thank Heavenboundx4 and his beautiful wife for their thoughtfulness and generosity. After we left to go rescue Tim we assumed the rest of the group would head out for dinner and then turn it. After all it would be pushing 10:00 pm by the time we would return.

When we got back Eric and Swee were not just up waiting on us but ordered pizza and wings delivered to the motel. At 11:00 we were sitting around on the porch at the motel eating and laughing and carrying on like teenagers. Guess what they say about Slings turning adults into teenagers is true!

Thanks a million Eric and Swee!

No problem at all Tim. Just glad that we were in a position to help as I am sure any of the rest of the Slingers would. Really sorry for the issues with the Sling but hopefully posting all the details here will help the next person that runs into this problem.

Fortunately I haven’t had that issue with the sling but I did with a brand new car. Bad batteries aren’t prejudice, they happen! Good luck with your new battery and your new toy.

........but I'm sure I saw a GRAB HANDLE on a slingshot for the PASSENGER coming off of the passenger side mirror mount BUT can't seem to find it .........

......has anyone else seen this and where

Check with mytoy Seems like he had something like that. Then again it wasn't today so I could have forgotten who posted it.
