This is a great idea. It's very original. One thing to note, Those wanting to do the side plates, the slot is not the same width the entire length like the top slot. The side slot starts at a certain width at the bottom and tapers down as you go towards the top.

And the upper slots are different from the lower slots. These are the mounting brackets that FunCycle developed. The 2 on the left are '15/'16 and the 2 on the right are '17/'18/'19. They fit the lower slots on the sides of the hoops. I do use a self-adhesive foam to protect the hoops. I have several extras of these that are powder coated black and others unfinished that I can pass on, but I would think that the lower slots are not ideal placement for a camera. ZZP's bracket seems to be the ticket for that.

The bottom line is....we all went into sticker shock over the price of the new coil over shocks...

What is this 'we' shit? I saw the price, thought it was high, hit some more potholes and train tracks and bought them. End of story.

And on another thread: "Out batteries are heavy'; Mine isn't. It's a shrimpy little quad battery that I could knock you out with from across the street. My 2 foot long excavator battery is heavy.

You seem to attribute your trials and tribulations on ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING to all of us and the simple fact is nobody has the issues that you have. I swear if I gave you a hundred dollar bill you'd find a smudge in the ink then bitch about inflation (I'm not going to do that).

I mounted my second battery in a second vehicle. Now if one dies, I have a whole other vehicle to drive.

That's a joke but it has roots. For years I carried extra batteries for my flashlight when hunting. One day it hit me that my spare batteries could be in a spare flashlight. Now I carry two. Makes sense.

What about cutting open the turn signal unit gut it and install your own bulb / LED. With all of the ingenious people on this site sure beats $183 for a new unit . Just thinking out loud 🙂

You should see Bu11sh1t 's tail lights. When he hits party mode they go crazy flashing multi-color patterns and filling the light with hundreds of LEDs each. Never seen anything like it. Totally custom setup built for him and probably one of a kind. It would be cool to see a video of them posted up here (wink, wink, nudge nudge).

You also pay a premium for Jeep parts and back in the day, I would cross reference to other brands and save some money. I remember paying close to half the Jeep price for Ford brakes. I'm getting too lazy for that now though.

One thing is for certain BKL , it's not on you! I hate the finger pointing but if you paid by credit card (ALWAYS pay by credit card) you can take a hard line and demand satisfaction. Just remind the retailer that you are one phone call away from a charge reversal.

Same thing happened to me with the Smurf (motorcycle) battery. No warning, no dimming, no errant behavior. Just nothing. I would get the starter light only and when I pushed it, it went out and did not start the vehicle. This was in my garage after sitting a couple days which has not been a problem. Charged the battery, put a volt meter on it and watched it immediately start dropping to 10.5 volts. Done and replaced.

Thanks, we use the Senas in our modular helmets and am very happy with the system,...........................

    Bill

I knew that. And you probably don't want to buy a 2nd set but if you do, they work well. I installed my speakers on the strap webbing so they work best with the ear flaps off. They probably aren't as necessary as with full face or modular helmets but I got tired of yelling at my bride. In comparison, it is very relaxing to converse in a normal tone of voice.
