Especially here on the west coast, huh SlingLow? Thus a reason we are moving back to Montana when we retire where a persons rights are still respected, relatively speaking that is.

    Bill

Montana is on my short list. Fewer people and more space. Washington is getting too unfriendly and expensive. Idaho is a possibility but their rights continue to be infringed. I've always considered Arizona for their conservative views and warm weather. It will likely boil down to where my wife is willing to move. I wouldn't mind the vagabond lifestyle for a couple of years with a little snowbird action thrown in. Not that I'm thinking about it...:/

Here is something about paper work. If you buy guns and ammo at a small shop and you have a concealed carry permit the only paper work is at the dealer. RIGHT? If the dealer closes where is the paper work?

I did a private transfer last year with a small dealer (he operates out of a shed behind his mobile home). He said he was getting ready to retire and when I asked about the paperwork he said that he would be required to turn it in or destroy it as directed. He said most small dealers are not required to submit their paperwork upon retirement. But what record is created at the other end of the phone call to the NICS? I honestly don't know but would expect a permanent record is created unless the sheer volume of transactions makes it impractical.

Nobody needs to know the ammo that I purchase, how much more traceable are your ammo sales when purchasing online? Kind of like those folks that do carry permits, where is the Government going to go when it comes time to start taking away our weapons? I prefer to stay as anonymous as I can be.

I'm sure I'm on a number of 'lists'. But where is it???

    The shadow knows...

Hallelujah! And you might reconsider that 2nd amendment bailout company, Dicks. I won't darken their doors again. Can you purchase online in Cali? If so, try using ammoseek.com to find the best deals. Prices have spiked though obviously. I'm glad I stocked up over the last few years.

We discontinued it because the mufflers were not working with the NA setup and it was too loud and had a lot of drone.

Doc&Ruby was actually a test pilot for this system for us and even after 3-4 redesigns of the muffler, they still had a high failure rate. He actually provided us with a ton of useful data during the testing phase which was greatly appreciated. The NA setup produces a ton of engine vibration in that area to where it breaks the welds apart on the inside of the muffler. This is not an issue with the turbo setup as it provides more support to the muffler with the recirc flex and diffuses the exhaust more as it passes through the turbo.

As a thank you for his patience testing out multiple muffler designs for us and giving us the detailed data reports we needed, when he comes in for his turbo install we are giving him a rear exit upgrade for free and a discount on the install labor.

That's awesome that you are able to help each other out.

    Kyle D you're not planning R&D on an LS3 exhaust are you?:P

That is like the Pot calling the Kettle Black. You do know that he is the reason this Forum was started and somewhere around 1,500 people left there never to return.

I did not know that. I'm aware of the history but didn't know he was the guy that caused it. I assume it was a censorship thing but never heard the details. I came along after it all went down. However, if he was responsible for the start of this forum then he had a positive influence on the world though, didn't he?

From what I understand, gas has a much shorter shelf life than diesel. I don't know if you can treat gas to make it store longer, but something worth looking into.

Yes, you have deterioration and reduction of volatility in gasoline over time. You would need additives or to use it in the same timeframe as the normal cycle through station pumps which is probably not very long. I'm really not interested in installing a bomb on my property anyway and I would think burying it (properly permitted) would not be cost effective. A bandido tank (not permitted) might bite me in the ass later. I do have 3 diesel engines (truck, tractor, excavator) so I could benefit from storing cheap diesel.

Buyin a 500 gallon gas tank - CHEAP - filling it up with $1.49 gas Am basically getting tank for free when the gas prices go back up

A couple of weeks ago, a buddy of mine that's in his 80's offered to give me his 1,200 gallon storage tank. I'm thinking I'll take him up on it if he hasn't changed his mind. My wife is wondering if we can store gas instead of diesel but I believe there are permitting issues as well as the obvious safety hazard. Bill Martin I assume you put diesel and not gas in that diesel tank, amiright?

UK_Paul good to hear from you! It sounds like you are doing what you can to keep from getting this virus. I have to admit, I am isolating much more than I anticipated at first. My biggest issue is the governor of my state, Washington, has closed the woods to recreation and the rivers for fishing! Just another power trip to let us know he is the man in charge. I sue hope we can move past this soon and get back to a normal existence.

Man, there's nothing I'd like more than to jump on a plane and come over there to help you with some Slingshot projects and go knock around the countryside for a few days. Maybe I could make that happen. I'd better start learning the language!

    Cheers to you mate!
