I spoke to a Defense Attorney (actually a former State Trooper) that has successfully gotten 2 helmet tickets dismissed and is currently working on a 3rd. This was in Grundy County (Tennessee vs Rainwater) He is confident that these will continue to be dismissed. According to him law 308 excluding autocycles, supersedes 302b. This along with the seat belt, sitting in a seat and not straddling like a bike. He also stated that this is fully enclosed by definition. The bottom line I have not found a ticket that has been upheld in the courts in Tennessee. All taken to court have been dismissed. He believes this will continue to happen until they clear up the the wording in the law. I have his contact info if you want to confirm or have gotten a ticket and need a recommendation for a defense Attorney.

Here in California "fully enclosed" three wheel motorcycles that are within some specific dimensions which the slingshot is within are exempt from the helmet requirement - unfortunately what "fully enclosed" is is not defined and is left to the judge to decide - I personally know a guy got a helmet slingshot ticked dismissed by showing a picture of his slingshot with his homemade canvas top they is very much like twist or bullet speed top

unfortunately he had to take off work to go to court two different days, first to enter a plea and second for a hearing where the police officer could be there

to me this is not worth it - my time and income lost to go fight a helmet ticket is worth more than just paying the ticket and in the end it is just easier to where the 1/2 helmet

Sort of temperature related - We've had temps in the mid-to-high 90s with humidity-adjusted temps closer to 105 for most of the past two weeks here in the Houston area. My electric bills had run around $200/month max for the last 2 years under my old electricity provider, so when I received my first bill from the new provider and it was almost $400, I decided to switch to a provider (http://www.griddy.com) who charges a flat $9.99 monthly membership and buys electricity for its members on the spot-market. Due to extreme demand, Texas set a new state-wide record for electricity consumption, briefly driving the spot market to $9/kwh a few days before I switched, driving some bills to over $300 for a 2-week period. My first day on the new plan, we used 141 kwh at a cost of $26 (plus grid costs and taxes). When I realized we had used around $35 worth of electricity once all costs and taxes were included, I was close to panicking like some others had and was seriously considering switching providers. I switched my pool and AC to run primarily during non-peak hours and, with the less drastic spot-market prices we've seen during the 5 days I've been with Griddy, My daily wholesale costs have run $26.01, $3.35, $4.22, $2.85 and $2.48, with my All-IN delivered costs for 687 kwh have averaged out to 12 cents/kwh, which is about what I would have been paying with my old provider, but I hope to save even more long-term. I 'll just need to keep an eye on what happens to the wholesale market in case we have anymore serious market fluctuations that will force me back to a fixed price plan. I do miss my older provider, who offered pricing closer to 7-8 cents per kwh, but it looks like those times are gone now. Time will tell how my wholesale market experiment goes.

    141 kWh for 2 weeks!! $35!!!

those are numbers I could only dream about. Last month, July, our house used 2,283 kWh of power and had we not installed solar in 2016 we would have been looking at a bill of close to a thousand dollars. And this is for a 1,650 sq foot home

fortunately for the same month our 59 solar panels generated 2,694 kWh of power, and with it being the last month of our billing year with Edison they ended up sending us a check for $65 - - our only regular monthly bill is usually around 5$ to 10$ for taxes and the privileged of being connected to their grid

They just found where that famous blue dress that Monica Lewinsky had reported as being stolen. You know the one - it had that STAIN from an unonimous President on it. Yup, that's the one. it was stolen from her apartment during the middle of the night several years ago. Here's what it looks like today

For those who dont know this is a real painting that was owned by the late Jeffery Epstein and was hanging in his home - here is the back story about the artist Artist who painted Clinton in a blue dress

Ahh yes - San Francisco - - best place in the country you could possible want to live

That is if you are illegally in the country or would be considered undesirable any other place in the sane world

only city I have ever visited where there signs posted on walls of walkways asking people not to shit there

this is the Little Giant clone I got Werner MT 17 - - I have been very happy with it, its 17 foot extended and can hold 300 pounds - - pretty much identical to the 17 foot Little giant

As bad as I hate to admit it when we visited Seattle I did not wear my Trump hat. I get what Edward Neal is saying. When you are dealing with these insane left coast liberals..... let’s just say ANTIFA ain’t gonna beat my ass as long as I have bullets. Really don’t want to have to kill somebody over a freakin hat - I don’t think any sane person would so I decided not to wear it for THEIR protection from being stupid!!!

    EXACTLY!

as side note I also almost never wear hats and when I do its usually my Tilly hat. Its my wife thats the ball cap person in the family

I know Kyle, and the offer was appreciated, just geography got in the way. Luckily, I found someone today that is passionate about his pipe work :)

Pics to come, but now I need to get things powder coated again to make it look pretty.

does this mean the pipe work is done? if yes, congratulations

I am up to about 80 Trump hats that I have ordered and given out. I have 9 different ones that I wear, never the same one. I rotate each day. I still wear the Make America a Sh--thole also and always someone says something good about it and all the rest of them.

as much as I would like a Trump hat here in California its not worth it - - I prefer to keep my political views among friends and I wouldnt want to hurt any of the snow flakes little feelings ;(

looking at 117 for my ride home this afternoon - they say its an extreme heat advisory, Tomorrow only calling for 110. only 3 - 4 more weeks and then we will start to get back to more normal weather

oh well - I guess its just the price I have to pay to have highs in the 70's in December and January :)

I love the Little Giant but too heavy for me and my bad back, so I have the 6 ft. and the 8 ft. fiberglass step ladders.

I have to agree that the all in ones, even the generic one I have, are heavy, but they also can do things my 6 foot fiberglass cant do - - - in a pinch I tend to grab the fiberglass step, or if can get away with it my little 3 foot step, I only pull out the big all in one when the others just wont do

Just sitting here thinking about this next presidential election and wondering if there are really very many people who voted for Trump in 2016 that won't vote for him again in 2020,

Also wondering if any of the current Democrat options can even come close to getting the support that Hillary had.

I just dont see any reasons why prior Trump supporters would now change their mind - He is the same loud mouth he was then and he has for the most part been doing or at least trying to do the things he said he would do.

And as to any of the current democrats getting more support than Hillary had - - that seems like a long shot as well

the election is still a long way off, but unless things drastically change I really don't see how Trump loses this

If i have to dress up like Bibendum to feel safe in a Slingshot no less, Then that means i'm riding scared....And riding scared isn't safe either.....So to be safe i might as well get a four door Subaru and chug along in the left lane at 54 mph eating Ben and Jerry's.....:P.....

Its a motorcycle - and if you bought on the theory that you would be more protected because its a reverse trike I pray that that theory never gets tested

So true! If you move because of the crazy :00008862: things your state is doing then change or leave your "crazy" :00007863: issues behind! Don't bring that crap with you, vote that way and then complain "crazy":00007505: stuff is happening again. It's just CRAZY!:00007956:

I hate to sound like I am anti immigrant, I am not,, but have to say I get annoyed when I see people flying the flag of the country they came from all by itself in front of their home or business - if they are also flying the U.S.A. flag and if on the same pole with U.S.A. on top then its all good, but if you have more pride in the country you came from then perhaps immigrating here was a mistake.

My wife immigrated from the Philippines and she busted her butt to become a U.S. citizen. sure she still loves her home country, but she will very proudly tell anyone who asks that she is an American and she would never fly a Philippine flag above the Stars and Stripes

As a side note the even celebrate the 4th of July in the Philippines - they call it Filipino-American Friendship Day - - -

It depends a great deal on what you need the ladder for

as a general all purpose ladder I know of a few people who swear by the Little Giant multi use ladders they come in different lengths to fit what you need and are good for almost anything except electrical work in my opinion - I personally thought that for my needs they were a bit high priced so I picked up a clone that does all the same things at home depot for much less

for electrical work I also have a 6 ft fiberglass step ladder - I refuse to work on anything electric on a metal ladder its just asking for trouble.

California is not all Hollywood, San Fran or LA. Those places get a lot of press but the rest of the state is full of great people and places to go and see. The sling is helping us out with that! :)

    Amen!

California is roughly 163,696 square miles in size and 800 miles long. Most of it is some of the most beautiful country you could ever want to see full of some great people, I personally feel lucky that I was born and raised here. Unfortunately as SoCal points out the news that most of the rest of you all hear about comes out those 3 crazy liberal population centers

If it were me I would already have moved out. Family and safety is more important

I really dislike my State government here in California, but I love the geography and despite the government I dont really know of any other place I would want to live

As to family and safety - my family is safe - they havent taken my guns away yet, and where I live here in the desert is pretty much isolated from the bat shit crazy on the other side of the mountains and up north (most of the damn State qualifies as "up north" from here)

Oh for Pete's sake... as an IT manager I tend to look for the most complicated answers. I checked fuses. connections. wiring. cables.

Who woulda thunk it was a new iPhone's charge slot.

I hate the lightning connection - it just takes a bump that moves the plug a bit and connection gone - several iPhones in the family and all of them have touchy charge slots
