I am a guy that uses the center Rear View Mirror, much more than the side view mirrors. The Slingshot does not make that option very easy and since I installed the Madstad Stinger top, that view is even more cluttered.
slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/3956/ I decided on installing a Rear View Camera to become my Rear View Mirror. I went onto Amazon and ordered a Rear View/Backup Camera and since the monitor will accept 2 inputs I also ordered a second camera.
slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/3960/ I installed the Rear camera high up in the rear frame of the Stinger top. This was to give me a better view of what is behind me.
I ordered "wired" instead of "blue tooth" because I have a "blue tooth" on my RV and it is jerky and the picture freezes often. I ran the wire from the camera down the inside of the support tube and to the dash.
I installed a front camera to warn me about curbs. The front camera is mounted just above the grill pointing forward and down. slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/3966/
When driving I leave the Rear camera on and it provides a smooth image, which is wider then the stock camera.
slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/3957/ This picture is to show a comparison of the stock to my added camera.
My cost was less than $75, and I think it is well worth it.
