Got tire of looking at the uneven space at the back of the hood. Came up with this hood alignment procedure to get it corrected. While doing it, I decided it was a good time to find out why the hood would not open on the first depressing of the hood release. Had to hold it down while pulling up. Found the problem and you will see it at the end of the video. The Latch Bolt has a Sleeve and it was tight on mine. I loosened it where it will roll on the bolt. What a difference, open every time first pull. It is at the end of the video.
Caution on the Hood alignment, there is a range that you can go with the adjustment limited by the rear latch. no adjustment for it, so if you go to far, you will know, it will not latch. Back up if that happens. That just the way it is. Good luck, check your latch bolt sleeve for free roll.
