Recently got a Slingcave aluminum trailer and curious if there is a need for an equalizer hitch. Total weight will be less than 3K and probably around 300 lbs on tongue weight. Towing with a Toyota Highlander with 5k tow rating. I have a 4K travel trailer that I tow with same vehicle and that has an equalizer hitch that I can use on Slingcave. Glitch there is the Slingcave uses aluminum channel where the equalizer hook up saddles would normally go and they may not handle the stress. I could add some steel inserts in the channel but it would be simpler if I could just tow without the equalizer. Is anyone towing the SS on a trailer without an equalizer hitch? Thx
