My problem was the latches not working properly, thanks to @Noel Hughes and @slingshotjimmy video i was able to adjust them and now I am a happy camper with a perfectly working hinges/hood.
Thanks again for making this video, never occurred to me that it was the latches that were the problem since they worked fine with the original hinges but I can see how the lack of weight does make a difference.
U may need the adjustable hinge supports. I had the Alpha ones..
I did purchase a set of the Alpha brackets. Hopefully the hood will latch consistently.
Installed the Alpha brackets which are much more sturdy and not bad to look at, however I didn't have much luck getting the hood to latch after even watching the video.
Mine is a 15 not a 17. Looks like the new front latches are adjustable a little. Mine are welded. No way I can get all latches to work simultaneously because the cables have no adjustment for tightening. Might just have to see what Cycle Springs can do at SSITS 17.
