Hey so recently took my slingshot in for break in service and had them check a sound issue ive been having, when turned up loud the speakers cut out almost like its shorting out. had the dealership check it out since its new and they are trying to say the speakers are cooked. considering how new this vehicle is and how ive played music i highly doubt thats the case. anyone else had these issues as well?

We picked up our 2021 R model last October. On the way home the left side audio started popping intermittently. This happened off and on for a couple weeks before the left side quit working altogether. During the 500 mile service the techs isolated the cause to a bad amplifier. Had to wait a few weeks for a replacement to come in. Dealer replaced it under warranty in December, haven't had any issues since then.

The stock speakers are not capable of playing music at high volume levels in stock form. There is a recall for the speakers in the 2021's for this issue. The problem will still exist after the fix though.
If you want better sound and higher volumes you need to ditch the stock amp, go aftermarket amp, replace the speakers and wiring with something higher quality, and add the two headrest speakers. This alone will greatly improve the sound quality and will get loud enough for almost anyone.

Thanks everyone I figured it was an amp issue, I’ll shoot the idea over to my dealership which I’m sure they will say some bs about it lol keep y’all updated with it !
