    correct, it is quiet maybe even quieter than stock when in town(granny mode/low rpms driving) , when you are giving it the beans then it wakes up and it's louder than stock for sure, the main thing to note is that there is no droning(at least in mine) which is the annoying sound that most people complain about most of the time when it comes to exhaust.

    the best thing is that the silencer tips are easy to take off/put on(2 min job) so you can ride with the silencer with her and take them off when you ride without her if you want a more aggressive sound.

    The stock exhaust is the quietest exhaust I have heard, even my welter rear dual with silencer insert is louder than what my OEM was.

    one thing for sure though, the welter changes the sound note so even though is louder is also more pleasant to my ear.

    The slingshot is the worst performing toy I own but it is the easiest to customize, so much so that even someone like me with very limited mechanical skills can tinker with it.


    For example I am about to do a rabtech level disassembling to redo my music and while at it check the frame and re-tighten everything.

    I enjoy driving and unless God forbid something happens will always do so but as someone who has owned a tesla it would be stupid to deny that self driving is the future and it definitely will save more people than the ones that will die.


    Even the basic self driving or driving aid that we have now is 1000 times better than 90% of the drivers out there (my gf included).

  • Frame Sliders?

    Rather than sliders if you are bottoming out I would think that you need to look at your suspension.


    Adding sliders will mean creating "high" spots that in the end could be worse than the original problem and let's not even talk about the implications of welding or making holes on the frame don't know other states but here in mn that would be an absolute no-no unless you are willing to brand the tittle.

  • Should I Sell?

    I was just offered a 2020 SLR for 28.5 OTD with full warranty, that would put yours around 22k for it to be a fair deal due to depreciation.

    If you want to sell quick be ready to possibly lower even that specially since we just started winter........ in april when everyone and their mother is buying and paying out the nose due to cabin fever syndrome you might find someone willing to pay that amount but right now only the uninformed would.

    Trooper Everyone has given you really good advice so the last thing I would give a real consideration is who will be doing the installation, as that can be the determining factor of whether you enjoy it or curse yourself for buying it.


    We all have seen the many threads of xxx member cursing xyz company for selling them a "defective" kit.


    If I ever go boosted I would factor in sending the sling to XYZ company to get the kit installed by them that way once you drive away you can be confident that you don't have a time bomb or at least as confident as one can be when dealing with turbos.

    the government is the one that started Pushing the 401k as a retirement/pension option. The biggest problem with that is.....first the “ government “ wanted you to do it.. telling you it will defer your taxes.......when have they ever wanted to help anyone? And they changed the rules in the very next year after it started, with many more years (changes) until you can even begin taking “Your” money....in my opinion the entire thing is a ponzi scheme promising everyone they will be millionaires in 40 years...does that sound “to good to be true“. Now ...Nancy pelosi is pushing the idea to add new taxes on the 401ks and all capital gains.....second, financial investors and planners go to 4 years of college to become financial planners and investors.....thats their full time job......how much financial investing and planning has the average American worker, working their real full time jobs, have with financial investing and planning......Little to none......third, this retirement planning has become a lot more critical and complicated Over the years requiring even more education.....So you are forced to pay out thousands of dollars to a fund manager and hope he’s not screwing you......forth, if the democrats didn’t raid the social security fund of trillions of dollars, of money we were forced to pay into......retirement Investing wouldn’t be As critical now. Because of that As far as I’m concerned the government Has a real obligation to make it up to All the working Americans that paid into it with a promise of future monthly payments...Fifth, social security money was supposed to be tax free.....they lied and ruined that promise......so if you believe your government advised And promised 401k Is going to be off limits from other changes/taxes, good luck. And I have a really nice slightly used bridge for sale....cheap.


    I was Lucky because our union and company had us pay so much money into our pension fund for ever hour worked.....Instead of having more take home pay.....that still doesn’t mean the company isn’t trying to figure out a way to screw me out of that money...

    I am very happy and grateful to corporate greed, it allows me an extremely comfortable life as it does to many others here.

    You are the sucker who didn't figure out how to make it work for you.
