Thank you! I went from Mild to Wild in less than 6 months and the most valuable thing I learned is stop hanging out with others with SS owners and checking out their Mod's!!!!!!

Yes !!!! It does get kind of expensive to try and keep up. Welcome to the info site. You just might have to take out a loan to keep up with some on here.

I'm not trying to be funny...but I was just in Charlotte, NC in a Hotel that was undergoing a complete reno. When I say a total disruption of service, I mean a total disruption!!!!! Fortunately, it was a business trip, so I didn't have my better half with me. Keeping my eye on this one, just to make sure there will be no surprises.

Also they let you bring in your dogs/animals (OK @Tripod) at this MicroTel. That is why I no longer stay in this motel, people are bad enough, I damn sure am not sleeping where the dogs have been sleeping.

anyone that needs a place to park motor homes or campers are welcome at my place i have room for LOTS my address is 4384 Martins Creek road Murphy, NC 28906 phone is 828 557 0713 and when in this area PLEASE watch for deer we are eat up with them!!!!!! btw i have covered parking for the 1st 2 slingshots that get here. i live 4.8 miles from town and the road is MUCH harder than the dragon 43 turns lots of turn backs

At this time I have 38,000 miles on the fronts, I will change out after the first of the year, to start the new season with new tires. Still a few thousand miles could be run on the fronts. As far as the rear I changed out at 16,000 miles, almost to the wear bar but did not want to take a chance on a trip in case of rain. I did keep it as a spare just in case. But for some reason there was a minor difference in the wear between the two sides of the tire. The passenger side has a little more wear on it than the drivers side. At the 16,000 miles I installed the BFG Comp and I did not get much mileage out of it even though it had good traction IMHO. Mileage is on here somewhere for the BFG. I am now running a General, great traction IMO. I will be installing the same tire on the front shortly. @j4henry is also running these same tires. By the way the SlingShot had the laser alighment at about 1,000 miles and it made one hell of a difference in the way it drove and handled.

If you have a Cycle Gear store near you go in and look at their Seduci heated riding gear. Their liners use the carbon heating gear that is very effective and it is guaranteed for the life of the product. They will do a one for one swap in the store if there is a problem. It generally cost less than the name brands.

I did not know it but there is a Cycle Gear Store in Charleston that I will be checking out. THANKS

    Good deal!
There's a lot of knowledge on this forum. Don't know if you're on any others, but this has (IMO) the friendliest collective group and the most shared information. Hope you enjoy it - please share your expertise.

You're just a hop down the road, but that whole area is one of my favorite go-to places for local short rides. We will have to hook up and just cruise around.

Oh, make sure you put yourself on the member map, too.

You need to go ahead and register for the SSITS17 @ivor says he is looking for 400 SlingShots this year. Need to get a room also. Go to Slingshotroasters.com for info and registration. Now that is taken care of, welcome to the info forum. Will look forward to meeting you at the SSITS
