Here's the vent hoses I have on mine. I was able to mount a 2nd one when I added front fenders.

I have a vent that really works, the people that have been to Maggie have seen. I do not believe there are any pictures though.

@FunCycle I forgot to mention Federal. Rare to find it in the 525 box, but the 333 box can still be had now and then. I have a few of both. Not looked for it by name until now, but I see it's still out there. A quick search found it on the site below, 5250 rounds for $264.99. About time to start serious plinking again. I just picked up another Ruger 10/22 on Saturday, this one with a 22" barrel.

Edit, forgot to put the link....

22 LR Ammo at Ammo.com: Cheap 22 Long Rifle Ammo in Bulk

That is a long way from the $12.95 for the 550 box when they disappeared from the market. I kept as high as 14 cases back in the day, because I was doing a case a week.

Could you elaborate on the sentence in red?

I am reading that to say that sometimes when you are slowing down approaching a stop light that the transmission will "kick" out of 3rd gear into neutral.

If I am understanding that correctly that is an indication that there is a problem with the synchronizer for 3rd gear. You should have your dealer check that out immediately if not sooner and it should be covered under warranty. Definitely get that taken care of before doing ANY mods.

I am wondering why he is coming up to a stop in 3rd gear.

I'm like you @Orangeman. I prefer higher quality whenever I can get it. Most of the time, I can get the better quality, it just is a bit more per round. I did buy some of the cheaper, non jacketed stuff, but most of it I've given away or sold to friends that needed some and couldn't find it. I like the Winchester and CCI best, but will also use the Remington jacketed in a pinch (still speaking of .22).

Back in the day when I was shooting 550 rounds of 22 a day we used the Federal 550 bulk box. We had more problems with the Remington and the Winchester miss firing or not feeding, One of them was accuatly longer causing feed problems. So we never bought either unless we had to. I have not seen the Federal bulk boxes since the 22's disappeared off of the market years ago. Believe me back then we knew what worked, we tried everything. I also meant to say that on Sunday afternoons, with all of us shooting it would be about a case for the afternoon. Believe it!

is anyone here familiar with this product dsutvcoolvent?

I am interested if anyone has tried the version for the slingshot

There is no air flow at that position. I built a box to go over those holes in the fender and used like 2 inch hose to the cockpit. Even covering the holes there is very little air flow. IMHO, that is a waste of money. A 2 inch PVC electrical LB works perfect to cover the holes across the top, then use 2 inch vaccum cleaner hose to get to the cockpit. I still have the boxes that I modified to fit better.

I am NUMBER ONE right now. Step it up people

Hmmm... lets see: Your wife is flat-out amazing... your kids are cheek-pinching adorable... and you sir: Papa Bear, Mr. November (or my personal favorite), just plain ole' DADDY... are a fine example of how I remember men being real men. Strong, caring and courageous ~> and because of that, you've been blessed with a wonderful life (BONUS: some of the best years are yet to come as you grow old with your family)!
*I just hope you don't become a grumpy douche kitten when your body starts making new sounds or when Heather constantly outdoes your skills turning wrenches... The brain/mouth filter is always the first to go ~> don't "F" it up!

You got that right @ericastar76 . " KayTwo DO NOT MESS THIS UP"

Remington took some of it's manufacturing to China (not sure how much). They also started making a cheapened version of the 870 pump that was sold at Walmart. I don't know anyone local that has bought anything other than older stuff that is from them, or .22 thunderbolt jacketed or not jacketed. The .22 was (still somewhat) so hard to come across, it got where if you saw some you just picked up some and cleaned it better after plinking. I hate it too. I have my dad's (1100 I think) semi-auto 12 gauge, guessing it's nearly 50 years old at least.

The Walmart today has more 22 ammo than they have had since it disappeared off of the market years ago. About 5 different brands. Also about the Remington deal, if you remember years back the finance industry tried to shut down the gun and ammo manufacturers by not loaning the money that they needed to operate or financing anything new that they wanted to build. This just might be the start of all of this happening again.

Also what loctight on the rear axle nuts? Tried getting hold of funcycle but he hasn't responded yet.

I am just catching up with this thread. After you take the nut/nuts off and remove the pulley, you can pull the axle out. The pulley side is a two piece unit. The race and the needle bearing which does separate to clean and grease. The other side (not the pulley side) will not separate but can be greased by hand from the inner race that is a 2 piece with a gap in between, key word here is slowly. There is no fast way to this. There is a way to do with a grease gun, but I have never made the pieces to do it. Some people believe in the Lucas Red Tacky I like the green which has a higher Temperature rating. I am glad I saw this thread again because I have not greased mine since the swing arm recall and I should do this before the riding season gets here. This does not take long to do, less than an hour and the second time will be a lot less time. If you have the torque wrench and the socket this is fairly easy to do. Good luck

I’ve got it...... pin ups. Here is a couple... one on the left and one on the right!

One on the left would be good. The one on the right must have had is pants hanging off of his ass and that says more than a little about him.

It was great to see you too, brother. Next time, we do lunch or something.
I feel like I'm making the most of the time I have, there's just so much I want to do...

You cannot do everything you want to do so take it from me. #1 --- Family #2 --- one or two toys at a time

The brace was all the rage when slings were coming out of the factory with "mushy" brakes.

There are new procedures, and even for a while a warranty service for mushy brakes that works great. It is air in the ABS think-a-ma-jiggie, and there are ways to get that air out. Stock brakes should be rock solid. What a brace does on top of that, I dunno, other than take your money.

Pop the hood and get someone else to mash the brakes hard and you look at the master cylinder and see how much it moves. Then you will know.

Which master cylinder brace is the one to go with?
Preferably a direct bolt-on without moding the frame.

I have the DDM one but it didn't make much of a difference on my 2017. I bled the shit out of the brakes and it was a 10x improvement.

The brace keeps your firewall from flexing when you mash the brake pedal. It does not change anything with the brake system other than that. If you do not use your brakes hard, you would would never even feel the difference.

Actually, I've got more shi/ stuff than I know what to do with and I'm struggling to find places to put it away, hence the messiness. I've still got stuff in a rental storage space that I need to bring in too. It's getting to a point that I'm starting to forget what I have and/or where it is. :S

You know that I do understand but at 70 years old I can get rid of stuff because I will never use it. I have deleted stuff, this makes the third time in 15 years. Parts also 57 ford rear end a dodge straight axle with drum brakes, chev starters and a 29 ford wind shield frame (both pieces) that are still here

thanks everyone for the info , i really like the bookmark thing. one more question how long does it take to get used to the noisy L drive, it kinda sounds like the rear end in an old car i once had , then again it also sounds like a drag car drivetrain, i have found that the radio turned up louder helps

Welcome, the angle drive will wear in and make less noise as you put the miles on it. Most of us have changed the lube to Royal Purple. Use the search function on this forum to find just about anything (and I do mean anything) you want to know about the Slingshot
